Morning from Italy. I'm about to finish my eighth year as a second assistant camera. I have had some experience as first assistant camera but I don't particularly like that role. I find myself faced with a Hamlet-like doubt. Whether to start building my network of contacts here in Italy where I am considering the cons of the place (industry that aims to make the film for the budget instead of making the budget for the film) or whether to try some cinematography courses abroad and restart from 0. If you have any advice it would be invaluable to me. Thanks in advance

Hi to all. I was wondering if there is a chart that takes into account the holding of a specific Foot Candle value in reference to a space. So you know exactly which Light to use to have the same T stops in a precise space of you're Location.

Do the behavior of film's dynamic range is comparable with digital? If i'm Doing a PUSH +1 , with the 500T , exposing for 1000ASA, i will shifted his gamma of +1 stop on the highlights? Just like with digital, if I go from 800iso to 1600iso, have I gained +1 stop?

I was wondering if the Push/Pull process in film (+ N Stops / - N stops) would somehow affect the dynamic range and exposure latitude of a specific Film Stock?

hi roni, you are not the first to give me this tip. Yesterday during the second day of the set since the IVS returned from the rental house, we found that that problem occurs in the first hours of work of the IVS, once it goes to temperature it no longer gives this problem. Consider that we 're are shooting at night so it is quite cool (21°/15°) It seems that noise in the upper right box appears when the exposure is too low. We have disabled all the automatic controls, so we are working in Manual with the gain.

Hi everybody, I’m having few issues with the Arri IVS HD on the Arricam ST. When we switch on the camera we always see this glitch. Any idea about to fix it ? p.s. we have already send it back to the rental house but we still have it.
