  1. Quick 3 minute DaVinci Resolve video showing the application of the 2383 LUT byBoz™ onto Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K Full Frame BRAW footage (BMCC 6K FF Gen 5). The 2383 LUT is available for ALL Blackmagic Design Color Sciences - BRAW to Rec709 LUTs also available in BMD or Arri Alexa flavours 😊 Website: https://blackmagic-luts.yolasite.com/
  2. For anyone interested in the color grade plugin Dehancer and how the color grading controls work. Maybe I should have a 'Sh**ty Tutorial' series on YouTube? ? ? Bulent w: https://bulentfilms.yolasite.com/ ig: https://www.instagram.com/bulent0z/
  3. Had a chance to film super quick improv short film with the Fujifilm XH2s the other day. Now I wouldn't say I have an "obsession" with the anamorphic look, more like a raging fascination with the aesthetics ? Shot in 6K open gate mode. Color grade in DaVinci Resolve using a combination of LUTs byBoz™ and Dehancer. The Flog 2 footage held up well considering how destructive the color grading was. Not that you can tell with the "amazing" YouTube compression ? Thoughts? Bulent w: https://bulentfilms.yolasite.com/ ig: https://www.instagram.com/bulent0z/
  4. I really liked reading the detailed break down, especially the horizontal streak break down! Thanks. The cam was def being pushed to its limits in terms of ISO and DR. Do you own or have used the BMPC4K?
  5. Ah, ok. I understand. Absolutely! Same personal preference. I think that's a really great way to discover, re-use and adapt equipment. I've experimented quite a bit with adapters, own cameras etc and sometimes... Just sometimes I discover something cool ?
  6. I can def see the character/potential of the combo! Like I said before, never heard of the sandwich method till you mentioned it. Do you think similar results would occur if the 1.33x adapter was mounted to the front of the 2x anamorphic adapter rather than the rear of the taking lens? Not sure of the maths in terms of squeeze/desqueeze factor though ? Thanks for your really insightful and detailed posts. Much appreciated ?
  7. Thanks for sharing these. I'm sure the YouTube compression doesn't really do it any justice! I'm def gonna need to do some further experiments ?
  8. Thanks, Abdul. Appreciate your feed back. Do you think think it would've been a little less bothering had his head cleared the light before the cut?
  9. Anamorphic Knights is short film (test) using a Kowa 8z Anamorphic lens adapter combined with a Blackmagic 4K Production Camera. I've been looking at much older camera systems for a good few years now. Recently picked up a Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and started with this first test. Is it me or does the image feel a lot more organic/analogue like compared to newer cameras? Be great to hear your thoughts. 11. Apologies for such a late response! Haven't been on here for a while. Thank you for your detailed breakdown. Don't have a PL mount re Laowa sandwich (didn't even know that was a thing!) but sounds super interesting. I do have a century optics 16:9 converter which gives a squeeze of around 1.33x. Def has that distressed imperfection. Might have to try and experiment a little. Def digging the look of your ishico 50mm test! Do you have any more vids with the combo? B.
  12. I recently created an all new set of Blackmagic to Arri Alexa Rec709 LUTs and thought that it might be of interest to some users. So here we are ? Mathematically accurate Blackmagic Film/RAW/BRAW to Arri Rec709 color space transform LUTs for ALL Blackmagic Cinema Cameras and Color Science Firmwares. LUT Features unified Arri Rec709 neutral image conversion accurate contrast curve softer highlight roll off balanced saturation Works in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and any other software that accepts .Cube LUT files. 13. ALL Blackmagic Rec709 LUTs byBoz™ are now unified and share the exact same stem structure. PLUS Small color adjustment for "truer reds" and tweaked film curve response for max detail retention and FULL Dynamic Range usage across ALL color science settings (excluding blown out highlights). LUT download page below. Download HERE: https://blackmagic-luts.yolasite.com/
  14. Hey All, here's a quick character intro for a project that I'm aiming to direct this year. Shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K with SLR Magic 1.33x Anamorphic Lens Adapter. Base color grade via a BMPCC 4K to Arri Rec709 conversion LUT that I created and have been testing. Might release if there's interest. Blackmagic LUTs byBoz™ are available to download here: https://blackmagic-luts.yolasite.com/ There's a specific "imperfect" anamorphic look that I'm going for. Haven't quite found it yet, but overall I think the combo works really well. Thoughts?
