  1. Hello Grant, It looks to me like your camera could be missing the light shield. It is a stretched "u" shaped plastic piece that covers the gap between the circular part of the camera that has the actual "c" mount, and the body itself. It covers the part not already covered by the sound muffler. Either that, or it may be shutter smear, you can check for shutter smear by inching a piece of film marked with xxx's and looking through the front of the camera with the lens removed. Good luck with your CP16! Ken Hale
  2. Hello Ron, Are you looking for core adapters for the PLC4-a magazines, the PLC-4 magazines, or for the Mitchell magazines? Best regards, Ken Hale

Hello Chuck Colburn, Actually, Derrick Whitehouse now specializes in "Camera Stabilizing Systems" and owns Whitehouse Steadisales. Kind regards, Ken Hale Owner Whitehouse Audio Visual
  4. Hello Christopher, Please send me some links to footage or stills shot with the 17.5-70mm lens, I get asked for those all the time. BTW, thank you for the great deal on the SR1, a University is getting some good use out of it. Best regards, Ken Hale
  5. This is indeed a mount for a Reflex Cinema Products camera. This lens will also work directly on a Reflex Frezziflex camera. Your lens is a 9.5-57mm and will cover standard 16mm format, it can be remounted with an Arri Bayonet, Arri Standard, Aaton, Eclair (Cameflex), and "C" mount.
  6. The auto-iris pins in the aforementioned 10-150mm and 10-100mm lenses are different from the one in your 12-240mm lens. Your pin actually stops the zoom from moving, this stop mechanism was done because your lens ramps. Your pin can be removed, the lens will then zoom free from one end to the other, and without a whole lot of problems, this is because the latitude of todays modern filmstock is better than when this lens was developed. Everyone always wants the pin removed, it is not difficult, most Cine lens repair shops should be able to do this for you.
  7. I think that the best way to set this lens is by using a lens test projector. Optimize your focus for 5-6 feet, and everything from 18 inches to infinity should fall into focus due to the hyperfocal distance of this lens. I recommend sending your lens to someone that specializes in Cine lens repair.
  8. I believe that the light loss is 1/3 of a stop for the Super 16mm Bowtie camera mod that Paul does. Chrosziel made the finest combo Arri B and Arri Standard to CP camera mount. I have used one for over 20 years, and it still works great. Ken
  9. Hello Paul, The Angenieux orientable viewfinder should go right onto your CP-16R. There is probably a burr on one of the surfaces, or something minor like that. Best regards, Ken Hale
  10. Mold is a type of fungus. The spider webs are actually filaments of the fungus. It is just an easy way of telling whether it is fungus ridden, or just grease. It's good to hear that you can return it.
  11. Hello, Are you sure that it is fungus? Does it look like spider webs? If so, my recommendation is that you replace the lens. It is probably not worth fixing. The fungus could also contaminate your other glass as well. Best regards, Ken Hale
  12. Hello John Carson McCarthy, Please let us know what type you are looking for, what accessories you need, and the condition of the camera that you would like to purchase. We have all the types, however you want it. We have specialized in the sales of CP16/CP16R cameras for over 20 years. Best regards, Ken Hale
  13. Hello Eugene Sung, The Zeiss 10-100 T*3 zoom uses a 75SSLR-9 step up adapter. The 80SSLR-9 is for the 10-100 T2 Mark1. Best regards, Ken Hale
  14. Hello Alain, I think maybe you are right, they look very similar. Mine was unused, then serviced, maybe that is why it is steady forwards and backwards. Another nice feature is that the gate is opened up so that you can see everything. What is your opinion on the Kodak Analyst, Alain? Best regards, Ken Hale
  15. Hello Nathan, We just started using a Lafayette analytical projector, and it works great. Real steady. Ken Hale
  16. Hello, It looks to me like you may be able to do this fix yourself. Take your lens off of your camera, turn the little brass threaded part on the rear of the lens 45 degrees, it should be just spring loaded, then put the lens back onto your camera and see if it stops in the correct position. Repeat as necessary. Ken Hale Whitehouse Audio Visual
  17. Hello Tim, We have noticed Rank registration problems from more than one transfer house as well. Our customer wanted a Rank transfer instead of our usual "process only" and project method. It is disheartening that all the effort/time/expense is spent to insure proper registration on the camera, only to have an unsteady product after tranfer. Now we will only project our registration tests in house with our beloved Lafayette analytical film projector. With this extremely steady projector, not only is the camera registration test steady, but the whole image is steady in projection as well. Ken Hale Whitehouse Audio Visual
  18. Hello Sir, Sorry for the late reply. Whitehouse Audio Visual has both new and used parts for your CP16R camera, including your reflex viewfinder. Best regards, ken@whitehouseaudiovisual.com
  19. Hello, If the toothed caterpillar belt is missing teeth, then the film will not take up properly, and your camera will fill up with film. Never, ever, blow out the bits inside, this may cause particles to get into the front mechanism and will cause the camera to become noisy. Please tip the camera and let the pieces fall out. Whitehouse Audio Visual has been supplying new belts for CP cameras since the mid eighties, and still does. Best regards, ken@whitehouseaudiovisual.com
  20. Hello, It has been my experience that the camera will not run whatsoever if the polarity is switched. In fact, switching the polarity is a quick way to ruin your camera. All battery housings have the polarity marked, simply put a meter across and verify this polarization for your NC-4 camera battery. The little white memory battery leaks in this camera, (same one that the GSMO has) and may have caused the board to need repairing. Your camera can be fixed, but it will need to go to a shop. BTW Whitehouse Audio Visual still repairs these cameras. ken@whitehouseaudiovisual
  21. You will also need to find an Arri B mount to "C" mount adapter. Ken
  22. The Angeniux 16-44mm T1.4 zoom lenses that I have seen are sharper than a 12-120 T 2.5, but are not as sharp as the "HEC" coated optics 12-120 T 2.1 lenses. Ken
