  1. Nice. Yes, it is a very special lens...I have done some research into it. These zooms were entirely handbuilt by Technovision using parts from a 20-100. It's sometimes a bit weird, crazy flares and all that, but it makes really pretty, organic images. Mine vignettes heavily until about 25 mm. Are you able to shoot at 18mm with it? Is Duclos able to help with that?
  2. I have one. One of the best lenses ever made. Apocalypse Now was the first movie to use this lens. Any movie shot by Vittorio Storaro probably used it.
  3. Hi Andrius, what did the Codex guys tell you. I'm having this problem too and I'm stumped. I keep getting a timecode break error message as well.
  4. Odyssey can record 444 but not d21 Raw as far as I know. I've recorded anamorphic on the odyssey.
  5. I've never seen an error message in the screen before. I have a d21. Hard to find anyone these days even at Arri who knows about the camera. I hear flickering in the camera sometimes, so that might not be the problem. Maybe something inside the camera is loose?

  7. Yes, I thought the ikonoskop added a touch of class too! There's an arri d21 on ebay right now. If you want to see what it looks like uncolored, you can see the original footage straight out of camera here.
  8. Still very useful in 2018. I have one and I've directed a feature film that was shot with it. Its a great camera, if you are willing to put up with the low ISO. Has its own unique look that I don't think any other camera has. You can see what we it looks like here.
