  1. Sorry it took this long to follow up. First and foremost, Thanks for the replies to my post. I asked Tiffen if they always mark their filters and they said yes. So I notified the seller and informed him that there was no Tiffen ID markings. He kindly gave me a refund and said that I could keep the filter. I was still curious... and I finally got the chance to do a quick test with the filter today, see attached photo. Top image has the filter and bottom one is without.
  2. Inspired by this thread and David Mullen's cinematography I just purchased a Tiffen 4x4 Antique Suede #1 filter from ebay so I can do some test shooting with my Red Scarlet-W for a low budget feature film (western) that I'll be shooting in March. The filter came today and it has no markings on it so I have no way to verify that it is in fact a Tiffen 4x4 Antique Suede #1 filter. I held it up to the light and compared it to my Tiffen Warm Pro mist and a 812 warming filter and it looks more yellow. I do plan on contacting the seller regarding this issue, however, I was curious to see if anyone knows if Tiffen has filters that aren't marked? And or thoughts on how to figure out what I actually have.
