The mags are old obviously, but are in proper working condition. One is a model S10, and the other is model S10B. Here's the ebay listing for more photos and details. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184708280797

My kit has the power cable with the ground and I still have the same issue even when using it. And to clarify, I can rotate the take up side by hand when in neutral. Regardless of what setting I put the motor in the take up side will not turn itself. I'm beginning to think my motor is simply broken. I attached a video of the issue

I'm sure the motor is properly attached. There is no additional power connection needed on the motor correct? The connections between the mag and camera power it right? I have noticed that when the motor is switched to the V/F forward position, the take up side does not rotate at all. It is only when I disengage the motor and put it in the neutral position does the take up side rotate.

Hoping to get some info from those of you who are familiar with this camera. Currently I'm struggling to get the 400ft magazine to work. The camera runs the film through fine, but the take up side isn't properly sucking the exposed film up onto the core. The take up side doesn't rotate and the exposed film just bunches up inside the magazine. Why is this? Would this indicate a problem with the magazine motor? Something else perhaps? Thank you for your help.

(WTB) Arri Standard to PL mount adapter
Jake Wolfert replied to Chumpon Jaruphianlert's topic in Cine Marketplace
check out http://www.duallcamera.com/ I bought one from there a while ago -
I came across 5 sealed cans through some friends. I’m hoping to get it snip tested and then shoot it, but I only have access to a s16 Aaton xtr, and I’ve heard because the 7296 is doubled perf it won’t run through the aaton properly

Hello, I wondering if it is possible to shoot some EXR 500T 7296, which is 2R, on a super 16 Aston XTR? Thank you

I got ahold of a Kinoptik TEGEA 5.7mm f1.8 with Arri S mount and I'm looking to get it fitted with a PL mount. What is the best option? A permanent modification? Would that be unnecessary? I notice there are some adapters like this: https://rafcamera.com/adapter-arri-s-to-arri-pl?gclid=Cj0KCQiAl5zwBRCTARIsAIrukdOHPMKoW1aHmZ6UM1-Z4GDbWrUoLCgjX6CcOrbQhplh-OvEEEC4D98aAgYWEALw_wcB Are these adapters reliable? Do you know of a certain one that is better? Let me know if you have any thoughts, I looking to fit the lens on a few s16 cameras, Aaton xtr, SR3, 416

How can I get the highest quality capture of MiniDV?
Jake Wolfert replied to Jake Wolfert's topic in SD
Thanks Mike, big fan or your DV work on youtube. I appreciate your response. -
Hi, I'm looking for a solution to transfer video onto MiniDV tape and then capture it back. Would this machine allow me to do this? I'm trying to understand the possibilities that this machine would give me. Heres a link to product mentioned https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sony-DSR-45A-Pro-DVCAM-Mini-DV-Video-Editing-Deck/264552810309?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D60695%26meid%3D5bedcdd971b84cbea9c6ea53dbacbc27%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D274132283823%26itm%3D264552810309%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

Currently I'm just using a firewire straight into my Canon XL1s. How can I get the best possible transfer? What do companies that provide this service use? Thank you.

I've searched online and haven't found any clear answers. Some sources say C mount, but c mount lenses don't look like they would fit. The mount looks like a PL mount but rotated, and with 3 slots, compared to 4 slots, one in each corner. Thanks

In the past I've had issues with loading mags, particular with lost loop resulting in smeared, unusable footage. I've watched all the videos and I've loaded on several different cameras many times before. I love how the 416 tells you if theres a loop error, but I'll be shooting on the SRII tomorrow which lacks this feature. Even when using the 416, I've had wiggle in the registration after the camera says the loop is good. At this point I'm very afraid every time I load. How can I be positive I've loaded the mag correctly? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

I'm looking to find some bulbs for practical usage in house lamps that have a sodium vapor color temperature. I was looking at these (https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/4978/LU0150-0010.html) and then realized that they need a high pressure sodium ballast. Any know where I could get some sodium vapor bulbs that would strike on a house lamp, or bulbs with a color temperature around 2000K? Thank you.

I'm especially looking for the AC magazine article about the film. I'm really trying to learn more about flashing/fogging as well as what kind of filtration Vilmos used. If anyone has any sources, please let me know!
