Perspective is the perception of depth between foreground and background objects.
It is normally sensed by comparing the size ratio of images. Size ratio is decided
by the view point distance, not by by change in the focal length.
But when tele lens is used, view point is foreced to be from the object, making
size ratio among the images of the objects at different planes to get reduced.
Since size ratio is reduced, objects appears to be close to each other. This
has resulted due to change in the view point. since you have used telelens
your are forced to away from the object. Since this happens when tele lens
is used, many think that focal length is responsible for the change in the
perspective. Keep cool. Do not argue, if you director says use tele to
compress the perspective. Use tele and go back.
