Alexa Feeney

Hey all! I'm a film student working on a project that's taking a look at the history/origins of slang terms for various pieces of equipment used on sets (Gary, buttplug, etc) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to start with research? I've been able to find a good handful of dictionaries and glossaries for terms, but none of them seem to point to where or when terms came into common usage. Thanks in advance!
