Cinematographer/Director of Photography:
Swift Response, LLC., makers of the Flex Seal® Family of Products, are currently seeking an experienced Cinematographer to expand our team. The Cinematographer will collaborate with Directors, Head of Production and Digital Creative staff to create a look and feel for video projects. Innovative thinking and cutting-edge techniques are critical to being considered for this role, you should have extensive experience shooting and lighting tabletop products, B-roll interiors/exteriors, large studio setups and have a reel showing range.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the executive team to determine creative look and feel of videos
Act as the primary Cinematographer/Director of Photography
Instruct crew of camera setups, angles, movement, lighting for studio and location shoots
Motivating, developing, and directing crews in Studio and on location
Stay informed on current trends and new technology that can help acquire better images
Responsible for mentoring the junior staff on techniques and best practices
Responding to equipment failures, fixing problems or finding workarounds
Characteristics / Qualifications:
5+ years as Cinematographer/Director of Photography
Good vibes and plays nice with others
Able to receive collective opinions and views
Ability to cope with long hours and tight deadlines
Intimate knowledge of RED cameras and the workflow
Experience with handling and caring for high end prime lenses
Strong knowledge of shooting product-based commercials and demonstrations
Experience with green/blue screen Cyc shoots for VFX and motion tracking
Comfortable shooting creatively in dynamic unplanned scenarios
Ability to build various camera rigs in a clean efficient manner
Mastery with movement tools, including MovieBird Technocrane, Movi XL/pro, Dana Dolly and eMotimo
Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit
Strong time and self-management skills with ability to lead projects from origin through execution
Find and scout locations – assessing potential obstacles and issues that could arise
An awareness of health and safety for crew
Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, ability to handle multiple tasks and willingness to jump in and help with anything the team needs, even if it is “not my job”
