I'm expanding my collection of Arriflex equipment. Recently made a deal on a Arri 120S blimp (in addition to the 300 blimp) in mint+ condition and now looking for above vintage wooden tripod with accompanying dolly. These blimps are heavy (the 300 blimp with camera, magazine = 55-60 kilogrammes) hence the need for a heavy duty tripod.
See this link for the item in question : https://www.bukowskis.com/sv/lots/1343037-stativ-for-filmkamera-max-killi-tyskland-1900-talets-andra-halft
Preferably located in mainland Europe.

Thanks everyone for feedback, fellow Arri archaeologists. Sorry about the delayed response (unwilling hiatus). Best regards Rasmus

Great stuff! Thanks for the info, Björn! I'll have a look!
Best regards Rasmus

Hey Björn.
Nice one.
Do you have any info on your camera's background?
Best regards Rasmus
PS: What "other" stuff have you got?
-
Maybe not the one on the picture, I guess. I know that Arri made optical printers (at least for 35 mm) - maybe a magazine for that?

Aapo! I think I maybe found it here (item in the middle?) From this thread : https://cinematography.com/index.php?/forums/topic/84722-unusual-arriflex-16-sstsb-motor/
It seems Disney bought a bunch of Arri 16S cameras ......

Awesome Aapo! Thanks for the analysis and suggestions!

For those interested in historic Arri items, see this listing on eBay

Does anyone recognize this particular magazine advertised as 16 mm? I've never seen one of those before. Given the color / enamel-like coat, I would have thought that it was an special Arritechno compatible magazine (but Arritechno was 35 mm). It looks heavy.
Best regards

Additionally for those interested: Custom Bellows in Birmingham, UK made a beautiful bellow replacement (the original was in a poor state) true to the original.

Hey Bill. Sorry for the late reply. With camera and 1000 foot magazine the total weight is 136 lbs / 62 kilogrammes (sourced from Arri via Willie Schmitz).
Best regards Rasmus

Willie Schmitz kindly provided insight : they're ports for video tap.

Will do that. Thanks Uli

Hello Uli. Is it still up for sale ???

It is strong enough for Arriflex 35 2C's with the 400 foot mags. I have two Super Hydro 35 heads. Motor goes through the hole. Great stuff.

Sad to see this resource disappear. Wayback Machine a pain to work with. Did you keep the original files in any way (html, pictures, PDF's, etc)? I'd love to have a go at getting this working again ...... with whatever is left .... I can host.
Cheers

Hey there. Looking for experts regarding the Arri 300 blimp for the Arri 35 2's. Have a look at these 5 images that I link to.

What's that in pictures D & E ? An entry point for that which is indicated in B? It's missing in A & C. It seems that Arri over the years changed the design?
Thanks in advance

Seeking an Arri 300 blimp in good cosmetic condition, fair pricing. Location : European Union, shipping a must unless in Northern Germany or Southern Scandinavia in which case I can pickup.

Any pointers to a cheap rubber eyecup replacement for my otherwise pristine Arri 2C? 30 USD + 20 USD shipping to Dennmark seems somewhat expensive (eBay)
Thanks in advance
