  1. Hi there. I saw this thread and was wondering if someone could help me out with a query! I have just received a canon 814 AZ Electronic and am a bit confused by the light meter. I have a feeling it is not functioning as it should. When I half-press the shooting trigger to activate the light meter reading, the light meter needle in the viewfinder mostly just shoots down to the left of the scale, no matter what the lighting conditions. It then very slowly moves its way up the scale until it settles on an fstop number. My question is - does this mean the light meter is broken? Or do you reckon that it is just a bit slow, for whatever reason? I have thought that perhaps it needs new batteries, however I can't for the life of me figure out where on earth the light meter batteries actually go! Any help at all would be very much appreciated! :)
