Hi Folks, I'm trying to avoid purchasing a lens or two that will end up not working with my Eclair NPR and thus become unusable. In particular, I am searching for either a Schneider Xenon 25mm f/0.95 or the Angenieux f/0.95 as well as possibly a Schneider 10mm f/0.95, both in c-mount and guaranteed compatible with the c-mount receiver on the NPR. Can anyone recommend a site or camera facility to reach out to for reliable pre-purchase information? I would be very grateful. Tom

Is anyone doing their own feature film scanning using the MovieStuff Retroscan Universal mk-ii? I realize it is only a 2k mximum scan, but am wondering if this product has found a market with the low-budget indie film community preferring to shoot on 16mm/S-16mm or Ultra 16mm? Any good discussions to be found relating to the pluses and minuses of bypassing the Rank-Cintl or Da Vinci big boys? Thanks. Thomas

I am fortunate to have purchased a brand new 1014XL-S (unmodified) some years ago and am finally going to start shooting with it. Like others, I would like to shoot with 7219 500T in daylight. My questions are: 1. According to the manual, I believe I should leave the CCA Filter Switch in the 'Daylight' mode while using my 67mm Tiffen 85 filter, correct? 2. Will the 1014 correct for the needed increase of .6 f/stop while in 'Auto' exposure with the 85 filter in place? 3. Will the 1014 read these 500T cartridges as 400 as it's highest setting? And if this is correct, can I expect overexposure but within the acceptable +.5 f/stop for shooting color neg film? Thanks for your input. Tom

Not sure you got an answer to your A-wind question, but the NPR accepts voth A-wind and B-wind film. If you look inside your NPR mag feed side you will clearly see two feed guide arrows of "Emulsion In" (B-Wind) and "Emulsion Out" (A-Wind). This makes the NPR very versatile. The only thing you make sure of is that regardless of which wind you use, the emulsion feeds face-up as it comes out of the mag, hence the two feed paths via arrows.
