  1. Just some $0.2 if helpful as I've been shooting a ton with the Minima recently. They are so fun when they run well (THANKS Tyler). I can just throw it in a tote bag and get B-roll. I can throw it in a tote bag and get production-level images with sync audio. (Some like mine run real quiet) I've mounted mine to a bicycle, outside a car, in an underwater housing. I have the Fujinon 10-40mm lens made for the Minima and a small 3x3 Chroiszel matbox.. damn the footage looks amazing for the size That said I would cry myself to sleep every night if someone asked me to use one on a bigger production.. so many points of failure. So few parts/ backup rentals available. I'm pretty fast at threading mine but wow again on set would not want that pressure. It's easy to get the film spooled here in NYC but requires you to plan ahead more. Probably the most fun camera I've ever shot with but only use it for personal / low stakes projects. Film is already stressful, would much rather have a user friendly, reliable cam like a 416 / SR3 on set
  2. Camera has been sold ! Thanks so much Nick!
  3. One last bump before it goes to that auction site...
  4. Price drop to $3000 - totally open to offers here. Just want to share the film love!
  5. - - NORAML 16mm - - Arri - B mount ! Hurts to see this guy go, but I have found myself renting more often. Also I have a functional Aaton now. I learned a lot from owning this SR, just hoping to pass it along so someone else can share the knowledge! Bought in 2020 from an antiques dealer in Italy. No idea what the prior service history is. It has been well used. The electronics were repaired by DuAll in 2021. It has an older French motor but seems to be one of the more quiet ones. Ever since its service at DuAll, it has been running great. The stability is good, usually shoots pretty hair-free, but this is a vintage camera. I cannot guarantee its long-term function. This camera has a couple quirks: The T-bar arrived damaged so part of it was removed and replaced with a flange/ cap. The prism still works fine so it could potentially have a video tap installed one day. You cannot rotate it fully to the other side of the camera like with the original J-Bar. The onboard battery adaptor was repaired, we used SR3 housings for new 12v NiMh batteries Comes with: 2x magazines w/ SR3 collapsible cores 2x 12v batteries Elokuvakonepaja LWS speed control unit Arri handgrip DM for better pics/ more details. I would much rather deal in person - I'm in the Brooklyn / NYC area - not far from the Navy Yard. I will ship to a verified PayPal address. Looking for around $3500
  6. Selling both of these great super speeds! they cover S16. Both have some slight optical flaws consistent with their age / use. I havent had any issues using them but keep in mind I have only used them with 16mm film. Lots of character / pleasant color / contrast / highlight roll off 25mm MKI: some separation on the edges of the front element- doesn't enter the image circle in my experience. One decent coating mark on the front element. Rear element flawless. Comes with RAF OD 80mm ring / .8 gear to match the MKII 9.5mm. Arri-B mount. Looking for around $1300 9.5mm MKII: very slight cleaning marks on the rear element, almost imperceptible- they have never showed up on my footage. PL mount. Looking for around $2000 I would much rather deal in person, I have a small studio near the Navy Yard in Brooklyn NY (not far from Steiner Studios). If not, I will double box these and make sure they get to you safely! PM for detailed images / contact
  7. One thing I'd quickly add is that the spools can get a little deformed when reused many times, allowing for light leaks. I've gotten in the habit of loading/downloading Minima mags in the dark bag to avoid disaster. Hoping to 3D print new ones one day as it seems kinda ridiculous what they sell for / how fragile they are. Also if you are doing sync I've noticed some reels can make more of a racket in the mags than others.. havent figured out why
  8. Yeah the video tap came with the optics built into it. Sorry I’m unsure of if they can be modified/ what sensor size they are made for. Rick at Visual Products may know as they upgrade older b&w taps
  9. Unfortunately I don’t think the GoPro would work with the video tap port (option 1) - the Minima’s video tap has a specific condenser lens set needed to get an image from the prism to the sensor. These optics were only included with the tap, not the camera itself
  10. Does anyone have a schematic diagram for the SR1 board from the service manual they would be willing to share? I havent been able to track it down online. Also possibly a new SR1 board itself.. I contacted http://used-filmequipment.com for a quote but havent heard back yet. Many thanks for any help! -Martin
