  1. I have a whole bunch of rolls of S16mm film from a project of undetermined length. The rolls themselves are all of varying length -- short ends joined together at the lab during processing into rolls of varying sizes. I need to figure out how much film I have in total. Is there an equation which relates the radius of a roll to its length? That is, if a particular roll is 12 inches in diameter, is there any formula that tells me I have roughly, say, 700 feet of film on the roll? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
  2. For Sale: One awesome Angenieux 15-150 T1.9 zoom lens. You read that correct -- T1.9! Covers Super16 all the way. These things are somewhat of a hidden gem. Very sharp -- approaching Zeiss sharpness (just ask Paul at Visual Products -- then check their price on a T3 version of this lens). This is a huge lens -- very close in size to the 25-250 -- and not to be confused with the smaller version on par with the 12-120 Angie. Check out the comparison here: http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=18836 (NOTE: The lens mentioned in this post is NOT the lens I'm selling.) Please have a look at the photos. You can see the condition is excellent, except there is NO MOUNT on the lens. Simply have Visual Products, Bernie or any other lens guru add a PL mount and you're set. A great, sharp lens that covers Super 16 at an absolute FRACTION of the price of a comparable Zeiss zoom. I'm asking $450.
  3. Sold! Enjoy your new camera, Chris! Thanks to all who inquired.
