  1. Thanks! Mystery solved. I had hoped it might be some obscure SLR mount but alas.
  2. This is the side with the unknown mount. The Cameflex mount also has two tabs but only one of the two has a notch in the middle. This mount looks similar but I have no idea what it is. By pointing out its similarity to the Cameflex you make me wonder if it's another Eclair mount of some description... So the question still stands...
  3. Hi all, I was hoping someone might be able to help me identify this lens mount. This is the male end of a Cameflex lens to SOMETHING mount adapter, and I'm trying to identify what that 'something' might be. Please believe me when I say that bothering you with this has been my last resort. It was in a box with various things like adapters for some unidentified screw mount to Mitchell NC mount, or the same unidentified screw mount to an Exacta (Exakta?) stills mount, which might help place it chronologically. You probably can't tell from this angle but the diameter of the Cameflex end is larger than this end and there's a small stepping-down bit in the middle of the adapter. Many thanks, Tom
  4. That's OK, I've got his details. Just curious, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of work has he done on your R16, and what kind of prices has he charged you?
  5. Howdy, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on getting a Beaulieu R16 serviced in Australia - as in, ideally within Australia. I'm based in Melbourne. It seems to be in quite good nick but it hasn't been used for some years so I was thinking of trying to get it, well, serviced. There's a company called "Beaulieu Cinema Video Services" down in Moorabbin, anyone heard of them? Otherwise, anyone know of a reliable company/individual capable of servicing this little camera? This is probably something of a long shot, but I just had to ask... Regards, Tom Hayes
  6. Thankyou downix, thankyou Dimitrios. What be these 'flanges' of which you speak? I have never heard that word used in this context - I'm highly inexperienced with the use of cine cameras. Can you see any of these flange things in my photos?
  7. Howdy, Just seeking a bit of advice regarding the restoration of a rather dirty and slightly corroded 16/35 Cameflex. The 16/35 400ft mags, 16mm gate, and host of extra lenses are in great nick, but the actual camera body is absolutely covered in superficial mold and rust, and a bit of not-so-superficial stuff (corroded aluminium knobs etc). The viewfinder doesn't seem to want to rotate. Haven't taken the turret off yet and looked inside - want to clean up the exterior first. That grey stuff on the lenses (see below) came about as a consequence of the camera becoming one with the foam in its road case. Any suggestions for chemicals, rags, techniques, brands of toothbrush etc? Any warnings? Here are some photos (25% original size): I'm especially concerned about the brown gunk around the gate area: Also, any idea as to what this thing is? It has what looks like a ground glass (?) or something at the back, with 16/35mm frame markings.
