  1. No 35 mm adapter used. Just plain dvx100ae with pola and warm uv filters. Glad you liked it. The video was done in Rogaland. I am now located in Drammen
  2. Why can I not edit my post? Anyway, new link to new server: http://home.online.no/~tasta/images/tribute.mov
  3. http://home.no.net/jlaksdal/images/tribute.mov A tribute to...everything really. Made with the dvx. All handheld. 5,5 minutes. Hope you enjoy!
  4. Tim Tyler is illuminating the dark corners of this forum and there is life seen. Now, that is lighting!
  5. I didn't like it at all. There was too much tell and too little show. I guess the best scene was when the boy on the triwheeler knocked his mother over the hallway railing. Great suspense there. The lighting was neat, but I thougt the compositions was , well, like the whole film, unmotivated. The combination of high value master shots cut to dull, overused close-ups just didn't do it for me. Again those talking head close-ups / OS shots. Is Satan at play here? And the dialogue, oh my god. No Satan at play there. Just boring, unmotivated actors at work.
  6. From wikipedia: A film director orchestrates the artistic and dramatic aspects of a film.. Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_director
  7. Yeah, 2hours and 20 minutes and only two good cuts... I think the main difficulty with SW3 is that you get to see too much. There is nothing for your eyes to rest on and therefore no fuel for our imagination. It is still simply CG masturbation.
  8. Very nice reflexions. What qt compression settings did you use for such nice quality but rather small file?
  9. What is PAR, and how does it work? :)
  10. I've run mine for 172 hours. It is as good as new.
  11. No, there is not such a feature, but you can adjust the chroma level slightly.
  12. If HMI is short for Hydrargyrum Medium arc-length Iodide, are there small and large arc-lengths as well? Just wondering? But, how many sizes of HMI's are there anyway? Thanx
  13. I really liked it. You have a good eye. Nice city. Which one is it? I'm doing something similar for the moment, it just takes ages to edit. Mine is not time-lapse though.
  14. I thought A vs P was a disaster. The writing was just nothing. And the freezing temperatures in Antartica, what happened to those? And there were only some sound effects that partly frightened me. The visuals were just not working for me. It's often what you don't see that's interesting. Like the first Alien and Predator.
  15. I agree. Just because it's an action scene it doesn't mean there has to be a cut every second. The eye is not allowed to follow a planned route and you get confused and dizzy. According to my teachers it's MTV's fault. ;) It may seem that the only direction is: punch and kick some ass and we'll just go in and do heaps of close-ups.
