  1. We have lowered the price to 95k. We will continue to lower the price as necessary and let the market dictate the value. We appreciate the assistance. Thank you, Monte
  2. Thank you Robert. I will definitely look for the thumb drive and post an update if I find it. Just dropped the price to 95K. Going to let the market do it's thing. There's a sweet spot in there somewhere. Thanks again, Monte
  3. LG told us the diagnostic was mandatory to reinstate the warranty. We were also told that the diagnostic and warranty cost included updated software. There are several ways that we are willing to approach this; 1. Sell it like it is at an agreed upon price (as-is). As stated from the beginning, we are willing to take offers. 2. No risk to the buyer. Sell it at an agreed upon price with a guarantee (as it is now). The buyer is responsible for the diagnostic and warranty reinstatement. If after the diagnostic is complete, LG determines that additional repairs are needed, we will refund the buyers full purchase price. This includes the cost of the diagnostic. 3. End the listing. My company takes care for the diagnostic and new warranty (1 year) and then puts the system up for sale. The system now has a clean bill of health from LG and current software. However, to do this, we need a better understanding of the systems value once it's fully functional. 4. Auction it off to the highest bidder. Yes, this is how we acquired it. Again, we posted this system on this site because of the knowledge base here. We put a number on it because we didn't know where to start. We are uneducated on this device, not greedy. We appreciate your helpful feedback. Monte
  4. Unlike those on this site, we are not experts on this device. We are military veterans that do our best to run a company based on honesty and integrity. We are here to seek advice and sell this system at a reasonable price. Whatever that price may be. A price based on information gained from professionals on this site. Yes, we purchased the unit from the government and did our best to educate ourselves before doing so. We have spoken with Lasergraphics several times about this units history, as well as the necessary steps to make it fully functional again. The unit is difficult to price because we have nothing to compare it to. Instead of telling us what we're doing wrong, please educate us on what where we need to be on price. If we can get some appropriate feedback, we can start reducing the price until we get it where it needs to be. We appreciate your courtesy.
  5. Yes, we are the company that purchased the unit from the government. Again, not experts on this system. We did our best to research this unit before buying. We contacted Lasergraphics about previous history, as well as the necessary steps to diagnose the unit and reinstate the warranty. These are difficult units to price, so this was our starting point. We recognize the expertise and knowledge on this site and appreciate anyone willing to educate us on a fair asking price. Thank you.
  6. Hello, I am the president of an asset disposition company in Converse, Texas (San Antonio). We buy equipment (mostly medical) from the government and other entities. We just acquired a system that is a little out of our wheelhouse, so I have decided to mention it here. It is a Lasergraphices, The Director, film scanner with three modules (2K, 4K and 16mm). This system was purchased by the U.S. government (military) in 2010 for approximately $450,000. The system is in excellent cosmetic condition and appears to have little use. Because this was a government unit, the hard drive (software) was removed from the unit for security purposes. This particular system came out of warranty in 2014 and will need to be placed back under warranty by Lasergraphics for future service and software upgrades. We have spoken with Lasergraphics and reinstating the warranty will require a diagnostic fee of $11,500 and a warranty fee of $17,250. The warranty is good for 12 months and includes the latest upgrade in software. Additionally, the system includes a 30 day satisfaction guarantee from my company (Rhino Trade). We guarantee that once Lasergraphis performs a diagnostic inspection, the system will require no additional repair and will be in good working condition. If necessary, we are willing to assist with the above mentioned requirements. We are asking $145K as it is now. However, we can have the diagnostic done and warranty reinstated for the additional cost mentioned above. The system includes: Lasergraphics, The Director, High Quality Film Scanner, Computer (without software), Film Scanner Computer Cabinet, 2K Module (Installed) - 35mm High Speed 2-Pin BH (Neg) Perfs, 4K Module - 35mm High Speed 2-Pin BH (Neg) Perfs, 16mm Module - High Speed 1-Pin 1R Perf and Necessary Power Cords/Cables. Additional photos can be seen on Ebay and our website (rhinotradellc). I am not an expert on this system so don't beat me up too bad. I believe this is a good price for this system. If it is not, please let me know why. If I can provide more information or photographs, please let me know. Thank you, Monte
