  1. https://twitter.com/bad_robot/status/486628757780721664/photo/1 IMAX on set.
  2. A little bts on the upcoming film. Shot 35mm on the G-series and ATZ lenses.
  3. Xiao, the shots look great. Which 35mm camera did you use? Any BTS pictures?
  4. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1234548/ I'm always glad to see a movie shot anamorphic.
  5. These cameras look great. To bad it's gonna take so long to be released.
  6. I'm pretty sure they would go to a third party for the viewfinder, like Dalsa went to p+s technik. Red will do what they do, the sensor and redcode, and another company will take care of the optical viewfinder. If they go through with it, I'm sure they will give customers the option to go optical or electronic, they will not force it on anyone.
  7. BTS footage: http://spoilertv-movies.blogspot.com/2009/...featurette.html
  8. Good work, Vincent. Do you have any BTS pictures, so we can see your handheld and other camera rigs?
  9. This looks great, I can't wait to see it. Matt, what were your thoughts working with the 35mm adapter?
  10. Here is a featurette on Knowing. There's some BTS with the Red camera. http://www.movieweb.com/news/NEFVHFGJc2NTJM
  11. Thanks for the link. I've been waiting for a trailer, glad it's finally here.
  12. Jeremy, you did a great job on that project. This is the first time I've seen the "famous" anamorphic flares on digitally shot footage.
  13. I agree with what David wrote, I didn't expect it to happen this fast. If you look at all the things that have shot digitally in the last year and are being shot now, it looks like it's an accepted way to go. Look at the films on the U.S. top 10: Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Underworld:Rise of the Lycans, My Bloody Valentine, Benjamin Buttons and Slumdog Millinaire. Even though we can tell the difference, to 80% plus of the public it looks like film. If the public is paying to see it that's all the studios care about.
  14. Good article, Stephen. Was the telecined Digi Beta the source for the DI? After the DI, did the short go to tape or a film print?
  15. Hey Cole, I ran across the site for your movie. It looks like great work from every department. Great job and good luck on your future endeavors.
  16. The stills look really good, good work. I don't know if it's the angle of the last picture, but the Arri looks brand new. Do you know if it was recently painted and cleaned up?
  17. David, is this a short or a feature? Here are some companies that have a few good articles about s16 to HD SR. http://www.liquidcompanies.com/ Look at inDI under feature films. http://www.laserpacific.com/what_we_do.html cool site. http://www.localheropost.com/
  18. David, with the information you have given, I think you might want to look at telecine straight to HD SR. Your post house should be able to prepare your dailies for your editing program on DVD or hard drive. This way, you don't have to rent a HD deck and you'll have high quality picture for editing. When you are finnished with the offline and move on to your online, the film will already be in a high quality format. You will be in a position to go to screenings, make SD dubs or Blueray DVD's. Even if money runs out, before you can record to 35mm, you can still show your film. Here is an article you might like. http://digitalcontentproducer.com/dcc/revf...deo_sr_tape_di/
  19. Hey guys, slightly off topic. I saw the movie and enjoyed it. I went to: http://www.theasc.com/ to read the article on "The Dark Knight". While I was there I went to the store heading and went to back issues. They still have some great back issues, from the 90's, for only $1. I bought 17 of them and they already arrived. They were crisp and clean like they just came off the press. I'm very happy with this purchase. I'm not affiliated with the magazine and I hope I'm not violating any forum rules by passing this along. I just thought some here would like to know. :)
  20. Adam, great job on the video. The video looks great and the song is catchy. The girls aren't too hard on the eyes either. ;) Adam, what are your thoughts on the Arri 416?
