I recently read about a metering technique Gerald Hirschfeld uses. (Please correct me if I´m wrong)
In "controlled" indoor scenes he´d have a flat diffusor (footcandle) reading of the key light. Using a chart he´d get the T-stop to use.
All other lights (fill, back,..) are set only using the eye (and a contrast viewing glass).
Pro´s are of course fast and easy set-up...
Does anyone use this technique? What are the cons?
