  1. Hello. I recently shot some stuff outside in daylight on Kodak Vision3 200T using a Canon 514XL with the C-8 wide lens. Now this might seem like a silly question, but does using a wide lens attachment reduce the overall quality of the footage? I feel like the footage I shot looks okay, but maybe could have been better without the attachment. Or am I mental? I'm wanting to shoot some stuff with my Canon 310XL, but now I'm not sure whether to use the wide lens or not.
  2. Excellent. Thank you, Robert! ☺️
  3. Just got hold of my first Bolex – a C8SL (images below). I wanted to start off with something stripped down and easy to use as I've never shot on Double 8 before, only Super 8. The camera is in beautiful condition – only it didn't come with a handle. There's a few for sale on eBay, but there's differences between them. Which would fit a C8SL? There's this one with a black trigger – https://tinyurl.com/bolexblacktrigger And this one with a silver trigger and extra piece of metal – https://tinyurl.com/bolexsilvertrigger
  4. Hey, Dan. I shot some Vison3 50D with it in October of last year, but I probably should've gone with 200T.
  5. Beautiful condition – 9/10. Comes with bag, rubber eyepiece and lens shade. The only thing it needed was new light meter batteries, so I replaced those and shot a roll of Kodak Vision3 50D, which came out lovely. Also comes with an original Braun remote control from new old stock, and a 'Schneider-Kreuznach Ultrawide Aspheric I' lens which is in mint condition. UK only. £350 or nearest offer. I may be willing to ship internationally if the buyer is willing to pay a bit more. Also listed on eBay for a slightly higher price because their fees are insane. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195909782688?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6LWAUUgxQwi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=6LWAUUgxQwi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  6. New light meter batteries arrived today and that seems to have fixed the issue of the needle not going past 5.6! It now goes all the way to 22 with the manual exposure dial. Not sure how old the batteries are that were in the camera previously, but they looked pretty beat up.
  7. Excellent and valuable information, Martin. Thank you very much. The location I want to do the time-lapse in is pretty isolated, so there's very little chance of any stray light pouring in. Now, to clarify, the Automatic B feature with the red lever locked into "B" position will help me achieve the ghostly/trails effect I want, yes? Or should I do it another way? Levi
  8. Hello. I'm new to the forum, and new to Super 8. I recently bought a Canon 310XL and shot a few things with it. I'm totally in love with the results! Links are attached below. Anyway, I'm wanting to do a time-lapse of a single location at night with a tripod. More specifically, I want the footage to be fast paced with trails and have a ghostly look to it. I have heard the Nizo 561 Macro's "autom.B" feature with the red lever on the side locked into "B" position can help me achieve this kind of effect. Is that correct? Well, I bought one to try this out but I'm a little worried about the light meter. The eBay seller said it is working, but the needle won't go past 5.6 on automatic, or manual – even when I twist the dial all the way around and point the camera directly at the sun. Is the meter broken or do the batteries need replacing? Thank you for any help. Levi
