  1. Hello there ! I am wondering about the scan part of the production for upcoming tests on an eclair gv16. Am i suppose to ask to the lab to make the Scan or TC at regular 25fps recommendation or am i missing something ? I understand that it is good to match the frame rate to the scan/TC 'rate' for 25 fps and under, but for the rest, i don't have an idea. thanks in advance Jordan
  2. Does anyone know what lenses were used for this golf le fleur ad? I'm asking I remember the dps insta saying it was Cooke anamorphic on a 416 but that post isn't there so if anyone could confirm or correct me please do so.
  3. Hi, I hope you can help me. I'm in the middle of editing a 16mm short film shot on double-x film stock. Recently I needed to shoot some pick-up shots and I sent the 100ft roll to a different lab (a cheaper one) to save money. The problem is the most recent footage visibly looks different, different tint, probably different chemicals etc. Is there any way to get everything to match in post? Would a professional colour grader be able to make everything match? Or will I have to shoot the pick-up shots again and send that film to the original lab? Thanks.
  4. I recently purchased a Kern Switar 10mm f1.4 lens, which appears to be in good condition, for use on my Bolex EBM with a c mount adapter. However, when mounting this lens I encountered a strange problem where it would only focus at extremely close distances and leaves the rest out of focus. Seems like this lens is not in such great shape after all but wondering if anyone knows a fix? Thanks for any help!
  5. I recently picked up a Bolex EBM that a friend had had sitting in storage for a few decades. All the pieces seem to be together and carefully stored and kept (pictured below). The 2 cell batteries I have seem to go with the power grip. The issue is I don’t know which end is positive and which is negative and I’ve heard using the wrong end can blow the fuse. I’m wondering how to best test the camera’s electronics with the equipment I have? There is a charger and multiple power sources but I’m unsure of how to safely use and test any of it. As mentioned, the equipment has supposedly been well maintained and used very lightly. I’m unsure, however, if deterioration may have occurred with time and if I should invest in repairs and new parts. Anyone have any insights? Any help would be immensely appreciated

  11. Hey guys, As my last quest for Aaton accessories on here proved successful, I thought i'd try my luck again in my search for some 15mm Aaton XTR screw in aluminium rods. Would anybody happen to have a set lying around? Ideally looking for the short ones, but not the 4", 6 would be ideal. Thanks, Nick
  12. Hey Guys, I've recently become the proud owner of an Aaton XTR Prod, however the camera unfortunately has a few items missing, which i'd like to acquire. With that said, i'm on the lookout for original Aaton accessories including: - Walnut handgrip & cable - 2x screw in 15mm rods (short) - Heated eyepiece cable As the purchase of the camera used up a fair amount of my budget, i'm looking for reasonable prices, however I completely understand that these are getting harder to come by, so happy to play fair. I also have a few accessories that I don't think i'll be needing - such as the Origin timecode device, that i'd be happy to swap if people are searching for one (tend to slate anyway). I'm based in the U.K, if that helps too. Thanks! Nick Lee-Shield www.nicholasleeshield.com
  13. Music video looking for cinematographer (as well as anyone else in camera dept.), who has experience shooting super16 and can work locally in central/south Texas. Ideally, looking for someone who owns their own equipment. Pretty tight budget, though me, label, artist are fairly committed to shooting celluloid. It's been kind of difficult finding people who are still shooting film in this part of the country, very much looking for someone I can continue to work with in the future. PM or email (matgerbs16@hotmail.com) for more details. Thanks. Matt
