I picked up some incidental items in a major Hollywood camera house auction and don't need all that was included so I'm selling some of it. These are a great find and hard to come by. Niner lights are the standard in high-end camera lens lights. Built in the USA (In CA.). $100 I also have several of the Cinematography Electronics lights which are similar but have a mount made for their own accessory panels found on some Arri cams (35-3). I will sell these for $30 each. All lights are about 18" overall. There are a few different types with different mounts. but most use the common 3-pin Fischer connector. They use small 12v or 24v 5-watt bulbs and many have a dimmer knob. I'm pretty sure you could switch the bulb to an LED. I will look into this more. Most of them use the common 3-pin Fischer connector, a few have more pins. Mounts vary. I have a few that use 3/8 threads, and a few that have hot-shoe mounts. Most seem to have Arri rosette mounts. PM me what you need and I will see if I have one left. I will personally test each light before you buy it so it's guaranteed to work! Will ship for $15. I always was curius WHY Variable Primes wasn't succesfull in the market .. 1. They have the quality of a fixed lens 2. They are extremely time-saving ... No changing lenses for finding the right focal length .. or changing lenses with different focal length 3. They also can be used as a PARAFOCAL MINI-ZOOM (ok very short zoom .. but still zoom) -Many accuse them for their weight .. But if you compare (for example) Master Primes it's not a big deal ... The VP1 16-30 weights 4.4 kg and the Master Prime 21mm weights 2.4 kg !!! Also in NOWADAYS with the digital cameras weight isn't a problem (even for steadys) -Also isn't a shame that the OLDEREST Standards Primes 2.1 are in almost in every rental house and VP's are so rare ?? -
Hey all! Shooting a small music video on S16 soon, and wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the Aaton XTR vs. SR3 vs. 416. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each when compared against eachother? I'm seeing XTR packages are almost half the price of the SR3, and our budget is tiny so I'm trying to see what I'm giving up for the cheaper price.

Hello All, I am looking into using P+S Technik anamorphic zooms on my next documentary project. The specific models are: PS-Zoom 35-70 CS, T3.2 (1.5x Anamorphic) PS-Zoom 70-200 CS, T3.5 (1.5x Anamorphic) I plan to pair these lenses with an Arri Amira with the latest software update (SUP 5.2) which allows the Amira EVF/Monitor to view a 1.3x desqueeze, however it does not support a 1.5x desqueeze. While I would love to have an external monitor on me at all times, I will be shooting a documentary where it may not always be the case that I can use an external monitor which supports 1.5x desqueeze. I would love to hear from anyone who has used anamorphics well enough to understand what I should expect in terms of difficulty or challenges to framing, composition and focus peaking on the Arri Amira EVF/Monitor in this case. The alternative would be to shoot on a combo of Angenieux EZ-1/EZ-2 spherical lenses paired with the TLS 80-200 PL zoom. This would certainly make shooting a bit easier, but I will lose the anamorphic look. The project is a proof of concept, with meetings in place to present to two of the major OTT streaming services for distribution. If that helps you ascertain viable delivery formats, also would love your thoughts. We plan to go for a 2.35:1 final aspect ratio, and these lenses should allow us a bit of composition/crop room in post. Thank you!

Is it mostly based of preference? The one's I know by name are Canon, Sony, Zeiss, Cooke's, Leica's, Sigma's, Panavision, Arri and Rokinon. I like the Zeiss super speeds because the smoothness of the gears whenever on I'm on a follow-focus rig. Also the sigma's quality I really love. Rokinon's are pretty decent for their price when you need to get something like a knock-off zeiss, I've heard people say. I own two Roks, really are impressed with them. So all in all, does it comes down to preference/price? or are there more factors?

Hello I have a question about an Arri SR3 Dual Batter Charger: Mainly, I am concerned whether it is still working. When I plug it in and try to charge the batteries the red lights no longer come on as they did in the past. I can not find any useful information in the owners manual so I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me. $900 Or Best Offer. Very rare item, in very good condition. These were only made circa 1982 for the Arri 3C, but are compatible with the 2C as well. 24 or 25 fps crystal switchable. Or, switch to variable mode (non-crystal) for other speeds. I was told the small 4-pin port is for connecting a speed controller for getting crystal sync at other speeds. Powers from 12V 4-pin XLR connector. Can run forwards or reverse - it has a switch for that. It needs a phenolic gear to connect to the drive gear at the bottom of the camera, but that's included with this motor. The motor has captive screws to attach to your 2C or 3C. No power cable included. This item is currently in Los Angeles with a friend. Thanks, Rich
