Hey All, Selling my lovely set of Zeiss T1.3 Super Speeds. They made 2 generations of the MK2's. This set is the 1st generation of the MK2 lenses. They have exactly the same glass and iris as the latter ones and I believe the same also as the MK3's. - 18mm T1.3 - 25mm T1.3 - 35mm T1.3 - 50mm T1.3 - 85mm T1.3 The lenses have just had a complete service and overhaul at TLS. The 18mm was done a few months earlier so I didn't have it done again. The optics are beautiful. The only flaws I can find are 2 small hairlines on the front of the 25mm, a couple of mm long each. Certainly nothing that would in any way shape or form affect anything of the image. Hey Guys, I have to shoot a spot for a CrossFit gym in the near future, and was looking for any lighting recommendations. We want to achieve a feel similar to this Reebok campaign as far as framing, camera movement and editing: https://youtu.be/UDb-7DY3CjU As far as lighting, the Director wants this to look relatively dramatic with a darker background, nice edge lights etc (please reference photo). The talent we will be filming is a woman (about 40y/o). Any recommendations on lighting a woman in a dramatic, but flattering way? I don't have any pictures of the space that I can share, but it has a series of ceiling-mounted Fluorescent lights, no windows, and a large barn door that we can open to add some daylight fill. I was planning on opening the barn door, turning off the ceiling lights and going full daylight. As far as lighting that I have access to: Joker 800, Kino Kit (one 4 bank, two 2 banks), Arri Kit (two 150s, one 300, one 650, one 750, one 1k). I also have gels and c-stands, flags etc. -Sam

Hey guys, So I've recently purchased an old SR2 modded to shoot super 16. It's a solid package but the only thing missing is a video tap. I've contacted a guy that used to build Jurgens taps and he has the parts but it can get pretty costly. My other idea is to purchase another camera I have found (An SR1 with a tap) and install it in my SR2. The price would be far better taking this route. The bodies are almost identical as far as i know on the viewfinder/eyepiece side of things. My only concern is that the tap on the SR1 won't cover super 16. I know the old Jurgens taps would cover both but I am not sure about this one. The wonderful gentleman who is selling the SR1 has been kind enough to send me a video detailing the camera. Here's my dilemma: The tap isn't labeled and my google research to identify it (and get specs on whether it will cover S16) have come up short. Does anyone know what this tap is, its history, and if it covers S16 or not? (images attached: apologies for the quality. They were taken from a youtube link) Thanks everyone!

I'll be shooting a short soon and we're planning on using a Red Dragon at 6K with a set of Hawk C-Series anamorphics. I'm aware that, due to the aspect of the Dragon sensor, the resulting field of view using any given lens will be narrower than if it were shot with a 4:3 sensor such as on the Alexa. The widest focal length in the C-Series is 40mm, which on the Alexa would produce an image with a roughly equivalent FOV that a 20mm spherical might on Super 35. My question is, roughly how wide would the 40mm anamorphic appear when using the Dragon? I'm trying to work out if the 40mm will be wide enough for my needs. The reasons for choosing Dragon is for maximum resolution, given that it's a vfx heavy sci-fi. Would it be better to shoot on Alexa for maximum FOV? Or try using a set of diopters?!

Hello, I'm looking for advice if anyone has done this themselves! I’m trying to up-convert the analog composite signal from a 435ES video tap to an HD-SDI signal so I can get a wireless feed going through a teradeck. What I’ve found online to be the best solution so far is the Aja V2 mini converter. The Decimators (specifically the MD-DUCC) are apparently very misleading and can't convert the analog CVBS signal to SDI, although the Decimator 2 can down-convert. Has anyone tried/tested any of these methods or found a way themselves? Thanks, Chris

18mm - 100mm and all II's and III's. All lenses are in the high 600XXX serial number, only the 32 and the 75mm are in the mid 700XXX. Mechanically are all in fine conditions, focusing is good in all them, only the 32mm is slightly stiff. iris is smooth in all the lenses. Coating is well preserved in all the lenses. Included are the original front caps for all them. Glass is in great shape in all of them, no scratches / internal haze / fungus. Just few irrelevant very faint cleaning marks in some lenses which is typical. 32mm shows more faint marks at the rear with some particle of dust. Great set in fantastic condition. I have some Super Baltars:::: 25mm f2, 2 inch 50mm f2, 3 inch 75mm f2 They are all in Mitchell R-35 mount. All the glass is in great condition. No haze and no scratches. Only the 25m 2 inch has a couple faint cleaning marks on the rear element. Mechanics are good with both the focus and iris. Let me know if you have any questions. Pics here $15900

Hi, I'm selling a lovely 50mm Zeiss Superspeed mkII for Super16. I have tested it on a Sony F3 and it does cover that sensor also! This is the hardest to find of the Super Speeds. The 9,5mm-25mm are more common individually and in kits. Condition is great for its age. Some paint loss on the barrel and some traces from mounting on the very edge of the back element. Focus and iris is really smooth. Lens was checked for collimation last year. Here's a test I did with the lens a couple of years ago: Located in Sweden but I will ship worldwide (but Europe preferred). Price is 1400€. Thanks! Kalle

I have some Zeiss Super Speeds for sale. Pics here They are:::: Distagon 35mm f 1,2 Planar 50mm f 1,3 Planar 85mm f 1,4 All of them are in Arriflex bayonet mount, and the 35mm Distagon does have the adapter to PL. So it's easy to move the adapter around to either lens. All three lenses are in very nice shape, no issues on the glass, focus and iris are perfect. The 50mm might have some very faint haze or just need a cleaning, but this is very minimal. All the lenses have an 80mm exterior front ring diameter. Price is $15,000
