I am selling my Arriflex 435 ES camera. This camera is in great condition and runs perfectly! It was well maintained and recently serviced. The Arriflex 435 ES is a fantastic MOS film camera that has been trusted and used worldwide for years. The 435 is amazing for slow-motion, running crystal sync up to 150 fps! It's a lightweight camera, yet it's incredibly sturdy. The ES stands for electronic shutter meaning that the 435 ES can adjust its shutter electronically, which is great for speed ramping, something this camera does well. The Arriflex 435 ES will serve you well for years to come. The camera is still highly in use today, with many directors and cinematographers choosing to shoot on it due to its high-speed capabilities, and overall compact lightweight design. The package includes: Arri Arriflex 435 ES Camera Integrated Video Assist (IVS) (3) 400' Magazines Short Viewfinder Long Viewfinder Extension Heated Eyecup Heater Cable RCU-1 Remote Control Unit RCU Long Cable WL-3 Work Light 24v Plug-In Module Carrying handle Right Hand Grip w/Trigger Large Flight Case Small Flight Case Film is a beautiful medium, and will be used to capture gorgeous cinematic images for a long time to come. I am asking $8,500 but I am open and willing to negotiate a lower price, so make me an offer! Thanks! I am also selling an Arriflex SR3 Advanced package for $3,500 OBO. Includes 3 mags, 2 batteries, mattebox, rods, etc. Hit me up if you're interested!

I'll appreciate ıf someone help me to better understand German companys new market policy! -
Hello, I'm in the market for a super-16 camera with video assist/tap, 400ft mags, crystal sync at 24/25. Got my eye out for an Arri SR2, SR3, or an Aaton, although a reliable Eclair NPR could do the trick. A camera in Europe is preferable as import duty costs a fortune. Looking to spend £1000 - £2000 ($1650 - $3300) depending on the model and condition. Thanks, Greg

HI There! I just got an Arriflex 16 SR1 (somewhat by accident) and I have a few questions. :) The seller had "1 - Video Assist Optics" listed as one of the items that comes with the camera. I thought I knew what this meant. I thought it was a viewfinder piece that would allow you to hook up a camera to it. However when the camera arrived today, what it has looks like the standard Arriflex viewfinder (like the one in the manual). The seller sells a lot of these things and all of his listings say "1 - Video Assist Optics". This being my first time owning one, do I need to get something else other than just a small video camera to have some video assist action going on? The seller is away until the 8th and I didn't ask before because I thought I understood what was what. :) Here it is the camera I have. Next question, I bought this SR1 blimp today. Anyone ever seen/used one of these? I couldn't find anything about it on the net. Just wanted to hear about any experiences with it. Thanks!

Hello Guys, I am looking for an Arriflex SR on board Battery with holder; Would an Aaton LTR on board Battery work on an SR for testing? Would someone guide me, to where can I Find a cable made for Arriflex SR with the right polarity to use on a Cine 60 Belt, or on a standard 12v Bescor Battery. Schematics are explained on John Fauer 16SR User Guide. However I'd rather try to find the cable already made. Thank you all in advance!

Hello! This is my first post here on the forum and I would like to begin it by thanking everyone who posts on here; this forum has been a huge source of information for me, basically like the film school I couldn't afford, so yeah thanks everyone. I just recently acquired an Arri 2c, one that was advertised by the seller as a high speed model. It has the tachometer that reads up to 80fps, but from doing research on this forum and others, I understand that it is possible to attach that tach to a non high speed model. I've read that the only fool-proof way of determining if the camera is an actual high speed model is by the presence of four extra screws on the film gate that can adjust the pressure of the gate. But having been unable to find another picture of an Arri 2c gate to compare mine too, I'm unsure if the screws on my gate are the high speed ones or just the standard. Here's a pic of the gate on my 2c: Is this the high speed gate? And if so, is the combination of the gate and the 80fps tach enough to pretty much guarantee this is definitely a high speed model and is safe to run at 80fps? Just want to be sure, as I have a high speed motor on the way and would like to be sure of what I'm dealing with. Speaking of the high speed motor, I've read that it needs 32v to run at 80fps. At the risk of sounding silly, how exactly do I acquire 32v of power? I can't seem to find any 32v batteries that can connect to the high speed motor. (The cable for my motor has a 4 pin XLR). Is it a case where I would need to have a battery specially fashioned? Anyone who has any experience running a 2c at high frame rates, your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello all, I am looking for an Arri3 super35 Ground Glass with 1.85 markings. I have recently been in contact with Visual Products who don't have them, and Shurcotools who manufacture them in the US, but they could not guarantee me shipment on time (Im leaving for a shoot in Africa at the end of the month and I cannot buy it unless I can get it before this time). In any case - anybody who manufactures/ sells these ground glasses, preferably in Europe? Thanks!

First off, I want to say thank you to all the people who contribute to this forum - I’ve been lurking around for quite some time without posting much. You know the old adage... “If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all”... Well, by nice I mean something that could further the discussions - but quite often I find the answers before needing to ask! Anyway, I just got myself a s16mm Arriflex SR2 (PL mount), and I'm looking into prime lens options. I have a collection of 35mm and above format primes, but none suitable for this smaller gauge (they can obviously cover it but finding a good wide/normal lens out of my collection is a stretch). I’ve read in various places that some 16mm format lenses aren't compatible - they cover it but don’t physically fit with the Arri SRII or SR1. My question; what prime lenses which cover and/or are designed for super16 are compatible with my SR2 in the wide to normal focal lengths. I'm not looking for the newest and greatest optics available, but instead some quality vintage glass with character. Old lenses from the likes of Cooke, Schneider, Zeiss, Meyer, and probably any old German or Russian knockoff's interest me. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I'm selling my very rare Arriflex 16 Fiberglass Blimp. This is for use with either a 16S or a 16M and and mounting plates for both are included. This was purchased a few years ago from forum member Tim Carroll who also ran the great website www.arri16s.com. Tim did a beautiful job of restoring this gorgeous piece of filmmaking history. The lens pictured is not included. The 16M camera and mag is not included, although they are for sale separately (see separate listing). They are in these photos only to demonstrate how a camera would fit inside the blimp. I also am separately selling a Tobin TXM-22A motor that would go very well with this blimp. The blimp's shutter advance knob seems just a few mm too short to reach the Tobin's knob, so you may want to fashion an extension on the rubber knob that reaches toward the motor on the inside of the blimp. One of the two latches is broken on the wooden shipping case but everything made it to me ok with that broken and it's always held shut firmly enough with just the one latch. Also, the power cable that connects a 12V battery (4-pin Cannon) to the outside of the blimp will need to be rewired if you intend to use the blimp for anything besides decoration. This cable provides power for the camera inside to run, as well as power for the interior lightbulbs so you can push buttons and see things inside like the fps tachometer. The cable was just old and brittle and started melting in one spot (a couple of photos are included). The connectors both look fine, so I would guess a technician could make you a replacement cable or two. I just haven't had time to get that done. The seals on the two doors (the top magazine door and the side camera body door) don't seem quite as tight as they were a few years ago so that may be one other thing to have checked if you intend to use it for the purpose it was designed. When I first got this from Tim, it did an amazing job of silencing a very noisy 16S, but I have not tested it recently. The thought that went into the intricate design of this blimp is really impressive. It is in excellent condition. I would love to keep this as decoration for my apartment but I'm moving and I know I just won't have space, so I'm selling it. $800 O.B.O. Please send me a PM if interested. It's available to see in West Hollywood through Saturday. If that's too soon, I can coordinate another time for you to check it out. For convenience, preference will be given if there is a buyer in the LA area who will pick up in person and pay cash. Pictures! http://www.flickr.com/photos/95212445@N02/sets/72157633332383091/ Thanks for looking! Rich
