  1. I would like to create a 3D model of a H16 Bolex in order to create animations that allow camera movements navigating and traversing all the internal and external elements of the Bolex. I'd like to make it perfectly accurate and am therefore searching for the measurements of every single component in addition to material properties so that I can use real-time physics in the animations. I guess the model could also be used by those looking to fix, repair or service these cameras. Does anybody know if this has already been done or could you point me in the direction of resources, schematics and such? Thanks in advance!
  2. I’d love some feedback on a music video I did for my band recently. Part of the music video is a super-stylized noir look, and part of it has a glitchy electric computerized feel. Feel free to comment on the cinematography, VFX, or even the song. Let me know if you think this worked!
  3. Hi, This footage was put together from imagery shot in a warehouse with a blue background. It took a long time to key out all the background as it was full of shadows. The footage of the figure needed speeding up and blur adding. The car footage needed to be stabilized too: https://www.3d-imaging.co.uk/pages/bluescreen_special_effects.htm
  4. Hello all, About three years ago, I built a computer to do lower-end editing with Premiere and AfterFX. Most of the projects were geared towards my high school AV class, so nothing more than 5 or so minute works with 1080p project files and H.264 codecs. Today, I'm still using the same project files, but I am editing much larger-scale works (15+ minute works, plus incorporating DaVinci Resolve into my workflow). With my most recent project, I have just color graded via Resolve, and I am finding a lot of difficulty in just opening the Premiere file now. Premiere itself crashes quite frequently, there are times when I open the project file and some of the color graded media is "offline" (when it typically isn't), and I have a hard time rendering this footage for preview (due to Premiere constantly crashing). My workflow is this: Import footage into Premiere, match audio & cut it together -> export XML file -> import XML file of Premiere sequence into DaVinci, color grade the shots -> export H.264 file out of DaVinci, import each shot and replace it's counterpart in Premiere in order to begin sound design Here are the specs for my computer: OS: WIndows 7, 64-bit RAM: 8gb CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 So my question is, is this a hardware issue, or something in my workflow?
  5. Hello everyone, I've been experimenting with the virtual cameras in after effects on a web series that I've created using character animator. Each episode uses different lenses, distances between the background, subject, and camera, angles, and I've even played with zooms and tracking shots. I'd love to hear if you have any suggestions on other ways I can play with virtual cameras and lighting to create some different looks. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_jlCValHhUxWF1ZsKqrA2O1RIZ8qrufO
  6. But of course, please provide me with feedback. I'm the type of person that values the negative feedback way more than positive so don't hold back :)

  10. Hi All, Would really appreciate help with this question: How can I remove people and cars from a video? I am going to be filming historic architecture in a very busy populous area (a city square) in Africa and would like to only show the buildings. Is there a particular way I should prepare to shoot this? e.g on a tripod so it is a still capture? What are the steps to take when i'm editing? I am working with a canon 7d, fcp 7, have after effects but really not familiar with the workflow of importing files onto after effects or using the programme. Any step by step explanation in layman's terms would be preferable! Many Thanks!!
  11. I am shooting several action scences using a green screen behind the action. This will be a 3 camera shot; 1st camera left at a 45 degree facing center stage, 2nd camera set center stage and the 3rd camera right facing 45 degrees facing center stage. All camera's are locked and spaced equally apart. How or what plug-in (if needed) to After Effects or Premeire Pro would I need to create a seemless movement interacting with all 3 cameras. The transition movement needs fast from camera 1 to 3 and slower in different action parts. In other words, I am would like the 3 camera's to work as one, and I manipulate how I want each scence to look; like the Matrix, but with constant video movement. No still images that rotate to different angles. I look forward to advice, tips, recommendation, etc... If their is a answer I know y'all wil help.
