  1. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this lens. The closest to it I can find is the P Angenieux 20-80mm f/2.5 Type L5. Is anyone familiar with the L6?
  2. I finally own a decent follow focus. It's a used Zacuto Z-focus. Works great, smooth turn, zero play. I'm using it together with a Sigma 18-35 f1.8, with a this ultra cheap focus ring: https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Adjustable-Follow-Lenses-diameter/dp/B008PP3LY4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1486941772&sr=8-2&keywords=neewer+focus+ring The Sigma lens itself has a buttery smooth focus turn, and like I said, the Z-focus is basically silk when it's just spinning by itself. But the moment the Z-focus is actually put to use turning the Sigma lens, it takes a little more effort to turn than I feel it should, and there are some subtle vibrations in the movement. Adds up to a less-than-stellar focusing experience. I had a similar problem when I first got the Sigma and the Z-focus. I'd bought a gear ring that was specially fitted to the Sigma, and it proved totally unusable--vibrations galore. Is this a normal problem with cheap, crappy focus rings? I can't find anyone else who describes experiencing this issue quite like I have. Help!

  5. Hello everyone, We are conducting a study on ILCs (Interchangeable Lens Cameras) In New York and are looking for people to participate. Currently we need some cinematographers who use DSLR and/or CSC cameras. We especially need CSC users. If you have friends that could also participate please share this information. It will be a 2 hour Focus Group Discussion and if you take part we will compensate your time by $150. A focus group discussion is where we invite a group of people to talk about their experiences with a certain product, in this case ILCs. We would like to speak to you to find out how we can improve upon our products. However, there are a few criteria that you must meet to take part: • Owner and user of an ILC DSLR or CSC; • Aged between 25-50; • Must own at least 2 lenses for main system (excluding bundle/kit lenses); • Must have purchased a lens within the last 2 years. If you meet the above criteria, it is very likely that you will qualify for our study. If interested, please fill out our pre-survey in the link below. If you qualify, we will reach out to you with an invitation to take part in our focus group.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZP89GMW Many thanks in advance.
  6. Pretty much as the topic states. I've never used the FF5 with the CN-Es but I need to know if it can clear them. I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!
