  1. Two ground glasses for sale. For use with an Arri 2C, 3C, 35-3 film cameras or Kish UDF or other Dir/Find that uses this type of ground glass. $200 for both OR: $150 for the one with the metal handle (in slightly nicer condition) with Academy 1.85 and what looks like Academy 4x3 (common sides). In blue ARRI jewel case. $100 for the one without handle (a couple of tiny blemishes, visible in photos), marked with Academy 1.85 and a "TV" that is not common sides or top/bottom. The 1.85 marking is the dominant marking on this one. Both have tiny chips outside of the picture area. Both have center cross-hair. Located in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks for looking.
  2. Anyone have Arri 435 4 perf ground glass for sale? Looking for as blank as possible.
  3. I have for sale four Arri groundglasses. These are standard glasses, so from memory will fit a IIC or a 35III - but others might be able to put me straight on that. They're also great for many viewfinders, including the Kish UDF. 1. 'TV' (4:3) with mounting bracket. In excellent condition. 2. Another 4:3, no mounting bracket, some pencil marks where it has been marked up in a mystery ratio. Tiny mark bottom right, very clean otherwise. 3. 1:1.85, marked up to 16:9 (?) A chip on one side from bad handling, but it doesn't encroach into the picture area. Good for a viewfinder, or general use. No scratches/marks otherwise. 4. Probably a 4:3 but has been taped to 16:9 at some point. Apart from the tape residue (easily removed) it's in excellent condition too. Each one has a case - happy to sell separately or as a set, pickup or post. The going rate seems to be $150 (AUD) each, and $100 for the one with the mark. They're eyewateringly expensive new. But let's talk - I'm happy to negotiate for a package deal, or if these prices seem out of whack. Postage will be from Melbourne, Australia. Cheers, Jonathan. ( ** I only seem to be able to upload images of 2 of them - message me for more images **)
  4. Hi there, I finally have gotten my Eclair ACL kit to work, and it has been out on a handful of jobs. I love it. Thing is, I am now making a video tap for it, to try to modernize and make it an alternative to the alluring SR's, and 416's of the world. One issue though is that the repairman that made my conversion, Bernie at Super 16 Inc, made the frame lines by hand. And that's all good for myself using it privately, but it does come across as a bit unprofessional in the working world. My question is, is there anyone in the Los Angeles area that potentially could make me a custom ground glass to replace what I already have in the camera? Preferably someone that knows Aatons internals (since they are basically an Eclair). //C
  5. Im looking for some Arri SR3 ground glasses, 2.35, 1.66 & 178 Do you have any of these available? Im looking for the newer version without markings for the light meter. Many thanks!
  6. Hello, I purchased an Arri SR2 Super 16 and wanted to frame for 1.78 viewing. Someone told me that I would need a viewing screen (ground glass) in order to do this, but I am unsure of what this is exactly. Can anyone tell where this ground glass goes on the camera; do I need to have it professionally installed, and do they still sell them? Also, I was also wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a video monitor that records (for playback purposes only) that can connect to my video tap (XC999). Thank you, Walter P.S. This is my first post. Forgive me if I am in the wrong section.
  7. AATON XTR SER1352 As time goes by my Ground Glass is no longer centered in the frame it has slipped downward as I look into the eyepiece. Is there something I can do to adjust it "upward" I have also noticed that when the top line of the ground glass is in focus the bottom is a little out. Is there an easy way to adjust the ground glass back to factory setting without sending it away for service? I have a shoot this Tuesday and I'd like to fix it if possible Thanks in advance.
  8. Wondering what these vertical lines on my ground glass are? A buddy said they could be rule of 3rd frame lines. Photo wouldn't upload - it's also on my blog http://ihustleandotherthings.blogspot.com/2015/12/blog-post_4.html BTW this is the the Arri 3C super 35 shifted over PL lens mount that had been listed on this forum. It has a Jurgens video door. Super 2:35 or 2:40 Also, I finally got a lens, using an Hasselblad to PL mount - i'm excited to finally shoot something. I know I could ask the seller but I've never posted on here so I figured I would ask the collective wisdom LOL
  9. Greetings, I'm looking to purchase ground glass and matching glow mask for an ARRI 535B. 1.85 glass preferable, but 1.78 and 4.20 are also welcome. Thank you for your help.
  10. Hello all, I am looking for an Arri3 super35 Ground Glass with 1.85 markings. I have recently been in contact with Visual Products who don't have them, and Shurcotools who manufacture them in the US, but they could not guarantee me shipment on time (Im leaving for a shoot in Africa at the end of the month and I cannot buy it unless I can get it before this time). In any case - anybody who manufactures/ sells these ground glasses, preferably in Europe? Thanks!
