RED to Host Panels Featuring Henry Braham, BSC, Dean Devlin and Red Bull Media House Cine Gear attendees can find RED Digital Cinema at booth S301 in Stage 2 of Paramount Studios at Cine Gear Expo 2017 from June 2-3. RED’s visitors can interact with a range of DSMC2™ cameras, including SCARLET-W™, RED EPIC-W™, WEAPON® 8K S35 and WEAPON 8K VV. Additionally, RED will be demonstrating the latest workflow options - covering their new image processing pipeline (IPP2), HDR, and 8K. RED will be joined in their booth by a wide variety of manufacturers of lenses, camera modules and accessories including RT Motion, Kippertie, foolcontrol, and Offhollywood. RED will also take attendees behind the scenes with two panels in Paramount’s Sherry Lansing Theater: June 2 at 12:45pm: Director Nicholas Schrunk and key members of Red Bull Media House’s production team will discuss the making of the feature documentary Blood Road. Blood Road follows the journey of ultra-endurance mountain bike athlete Rebecca Rusch and her Vietnamese riding partner, Huyen Nguyen, as they pedal 1,200 miles along the infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail. Their purpose was to reach the crash site and final resting place of Rusch’s father, a U.S. Air Force pilot shot down over Laos. Up for sale is my personal set of Zeiss/Opton Super-speed lenses. Ready to shoot. There are Five (5) Zeiss/Opton Super-speed, super 35mm full frame lenses. They are MkI/MkII glass. All PL mounts. All in near outstanding shape. With 80mm fronts, and follow focus. Recently thoroughly serviced in New York, and available for a check out. They are as follows; 25mm - T1.2 - 11, 35mm - T1.2 - 11, 50mm - T1.3 - 11, 85mm - T1.4 - 11, 135mm - T2.0 - 16 Plus 18mm Lomo wide T1.5 - 22 The last one is a Lomo lens, of very high standard glass. It was bought and added to the Zeiss/Opton set, because the glass was comparable. (The only drawback to this set is that the 18mm Lomo has a 110mm front as opposed to the 80mm fronts of the Zeiss/Opton. Thus an additional matte box.) This make it a six lens set. RED WEAPON WITH HAWK C-SERIES: THE NEW MEETS THE VINTAGE. This week I would like to share one of my last experiences on set where I got the chance to use a cinema camera and a set of lenses for the first time. On one side, and I don’t exactly know why, it was an incredible long time since I used for the last time a RED camera and I didn’t had tried yet the “new” (even though there is already a newer model out there called Raven) 6K Weapon; plus, I did had seen the Hawk C-Series, but just in rental houses promotional meetings, and we all know that an actual set is a totally different environment. THE CAMERA Truth is that from quiet a few points of view I was gratefully surprised by the camera, since comparing to the RED Dragon it features severals tools that, if you want my two cents, are a consistent improvement, both in the operation of the camera as a 1AC and the performance of the camera itself. Angenieux Optimo Dp Rouge 16-42mm imperial zoom for $10,500 including Innerspace hard case, a $516 value. It's in excellent condition and has been rarely used. Irvine, CA — January 23, 2017. RED Digital Cinema will be exhibiting at the BSC Expo (booth #223) in Battersea, London, from Feburary 3-4. Additional RED cameras will be on display in the Cirrolite, Cooke Optics, Fujinon, Schneider, and Zeiss booths. Exhibition attendees will also have an opportunity to join award-winning cinematographer Michael Snyman, as he discusses his choice of RED to shoot the highly-acclaimed television series, “The Night Manager.” Snyman will explain the technological benefits of shooting in high resolution and how it supported the creative outcome he was looking to achieve. The presentation will showcase footage from the production and will conclude with a Q&A. It is scheduled to take place in the Seminar Theatre on February 3 from 5:45pm - 6:15pm.

Set of Cooke Speed Panchros ser. II and III, seven lenses in arri mount, 18-25-32-40-50-75-100, ser # they range from 5XXXXX to 7XXXXX. The 32mm has no focusing mount. Normal signs of usage, only the 40mm has more wear on the barrel. Glass does not have any scratches, some lenses do have irrelevant faint small cleaning marks. PICS HERE Price $19k

I have some Super Baltars:::: 25mm f2, 2 inch 50mm f2, 3 inch 75mm f2 They are all in Mitchell R-35 mount. All the glass is in great condition. No haze and no scratches. Only the 25m 2 inch has a couple faint cleaning marks on the rear element. Mechanics are good with both the focus and iris. Let me know if you have any questions. Pics here $15900

Just got a complete set of the Cooke Speed Panchro ser II + III's, all geared: 18-25-32-40-50-75-100mm D.F.) All lenses have serial numbers above 700000. Gently used, some lenses have light cleaning marks, minor specs of dust. Would consider offers for the six lenses 18-25-32-40-50-75 (without the 100mm D.F.) They all focus fine. I'm shooting a fairly low-budget short film in February and trying to decide what camera system to go for. I won't need slow-motion, low-light wizardry, or a VFX-capable post workflow. I'll be shooting in one location, in controlled lighting. All I really care about is image quality, especially skin tones and highlight rolloff. Has anyone used--or better, compared--these two cameras, and could give a preference? Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thanks.
