  1. Hello everyone, I have a simple question: which adapter should I use when planning to use a lens in Arri Standard Mount on a camera with Aaton Mount? Is a "Arri Bayonet to Aaton" adapter doing the job? I can't seem to find a "Arri Standard to Aaton" adapter. Thanks in advance for your help!
  2. Hi everyone – long time reader, first time poster! I'm considering purchasing an Angenieux 18.5mm Type R2, and was previously under the assumption that the mount was Mitchell BNCR. The lens' owner, however, has just informed me it's not a BNCR mount but BNC. Apparently, these mounts are slightly different. As I don't know my way around a Mitchell (or anything Mitchell, for that matter), and as I've not got the budget to rehouse the lens, I'm wondering whether a BNC lens (in particular this Angenieux) would fit an EF to BNCR mount adapter. I've been unable to source an EF to BNC adapter, so if I'm out of luck with the BNCR adapter I'm wondering if there might be other solutions to the problem. Happy New Year, Christian
  3. $400 OBO. This mount adapter lets you mount an older Arri Standard mount or Arri Bayonet mount lens on a PL mount camera. This is the much more complex type with two spring-loaded push buttons for release, and is compatible with lenses like old Cooke Speed Panchros in Arri Standard mount. Those lenses need the holding tab that this adapter has to let you focus. Very easy to pop lenses in and out by just pressing two the side buttons. Les Bosher was known for making these, although I'm not sure who made this one. I bought this one from Visual Products about 9 years ago. Duclos sells something similar new for $700: https://www.ducloslenses.com/products/arri-standard-pl-adapter Note, this works fine on most film cameras. I used it on my Arri 3C before I sold that last year. It may not be compatible with all PL mount digital cameras like the Alexa - the protruding back can collide with interior baffles. Located in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks for looking.

  6. Selling my beautiful Letus AnamorphX-PRO 1.3x Anamorphic adapter which is the perfect adapter if you're looking to create the standard 2.39:1 look on a 16x9 sensor camera using normal spherical lenses as taking lens and utilizing the full resolution of your camera. Works with anything from a 25mm (on Super35/APS-C) upwards, which is very rare for these types of adapters and due to the large 114mm rear-diameter. It's in MINT, near perfect condition as it has only been used on one shoot and comes with the following accessories: 2 x 82mm Adapting Rings 1 x Top Flag 2 x Side Flags 1 x 4x5.6 Dual Filter-tray 1 x 15mm Lenssupport 1 x Rear Lens-cap 1 x Removable Mattebox This is the Standard Flare version, which is very nice and more versatile then the high-flare one. The glass is in like-new condition with no fog, fungus or scratches. I ship to CONFIRMED PAYPAL ADDRESSES ONLY AND NO P.O. BOXES. I'm based in NYC and also offer and encourage local NYC pickup and inspection, in which case I'm open to circumvent Ebay. Thank you for you interest! https://www.ebay.com/itm/123460441959

  10. I have a Soligor wide auto 28mm and on the back it says MIR. which adapter do i need to buy to have it fit on an EF mount? I'm fairly new to adapters and vintage lenses.
  11. Is there such a thing as a lens mount adapter database? It would be swell if such a thing existed because I seem to spend a lot of time drudging through the web trying to find out if you can adapt some lens to some mount with an adapter.
  12. So I'm pretty new to 16mm stuff, I've gradually been making the switch from digital. It's been pretty fun. Right now I'm using a Bolex as my A-Cam and two old Keystones as my crash cams. Yeah, I'm working on filling the gap between those two, but that's not the point. One thing that I've given up since making the switch was my anamorphic lenses. I love them to pieces, they're just awesome. However, I've had trouble finding a conclusive solution for a c mount anamorphic lens. It's kind of frustrating, and I was wondering what my options realistically are. I've heard several different ideas on this forum, one of which is using projector lenses. I've never really had to do that, so would that be a good option? I don't know that I've encountered much projection glass well-suited for shooting, but maybe I just haven't seen enough. I would really like to stay away from anamorphic adapters. I guess if that's the best option then I can use them, but I've always stuck to the real thing. Last thing, cost is a big factor here. I'm a big fan of quality glass, but I don't use these cameras enough to drop a lot of money on one lens. So if that means I should just get a lens adapter and use some cheap anamorphic glass for a different mount, I can do that. I just want to know what my options are for an adapter-less setup, if that's even possible. Thanks much!
  13. Hi all. I wonder if anyone owns the Nikon G to BMPCC Speed Booster from Metabones? It says it works with Nikon G lens. But my question is: Would this work with a Zeiss ZF.2 Nikon mount? I've seen reviews of many people mentioning only Nikkor an Sigma lenses used with this adapter. But I need to know if it works with the Zeiss. Thanks, Flavio
  14. Hello all, I have recently bought an Angenieux 12-120mm type 10x12 B lens for the Blackmagic Pocket Camera. Upon buying this lens, I believed it to be a C mount; to my surprise, it is not. Could someone help me identify what type of mount this lens has exactly? Thanks, John W. King

  16. Looking for a PL-mount to Eclair TS (ACL) adapter. Make an offer :)
  17. Hello, I just tried out my new wide conversion lens, Canon C-8, on a movie camera. What I recognized is, that when I focussed properly before putting the conversion lens on, that afterwards everything was blurred out (at max wide you don't see it that much, so this just goes for max tele)... maybe I should tell, that the conversion lens has a differenct thread size than the original lens from the camera (which isn't interchangeable). I don't know if this matters. So what could be the reason for that? How do I have to focus with it? Have I done anything wrong? And another question: How can I find out the thread size of the zoom lens, which doesn't have a description (and no information on the internet)? Maybe I am too goofy to google, so I could tell you the designation of it: "Angénieux 9-36 mm f/1.8" I measured it, but I am not sure if it's 37 or 38 mm .... I would be glad if I received an answer. :) Yours sincerely, Jan

  19. I have a Canon 600D and an Arriflex-Angenieux type 10 x 25 T2 zoom lens that I would like to use it with. I am not sure what kind of mount the Arri lens is but I have attached images. Is there an adapter that would allow this lens to work with an APS-C camera? Many thanks for the info.
