  1. Hey All, here's a quick character intro for a project that I'm aiming to direct this year. Shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K with SLR Magic 1.33x Anamorphic Lens Adapter. Base color grade via a BMPCC 4K to Arri Rec709 conversion LUT that I created and have been testing. Might release if there's interest. Blackmagic LUTs byBoz™ are available to download here: https://blackmagic-luts.yolasite.com/ There's a specific "imperfect" anamorphic look that I'm going for. Haven't quite found it yet, but overall I think the combo works really well. Thoughts?
  2. I am considering buying an Arri Alexa for my film company. Most of our project is filmed in 16:9 with normal spherical lenses, but I want to have a camera that can handle anamorphic lenses too. So i am wondering if the Arri Alexa plus 4:3 is cropping in when you have it on 16:9 mode and shoot with spherical lenses, and i should therefore go with the Arri Alexa classic ev with the 16:9 sensor?
  3. Question : Shooting anamorphic in super16 mm film, Is there a way to exploit the black space between two frames the same way it is done with the in 35 mm with 2 perf for 2:39 and gain time on you 400ft roll I am shooting with hawk vlite16 1.3 anamorphic , probably sr1 but i am wondering if there is a camera model that can allow to expoit more surface on the negative (and so, having more time per roll than the usual 10 min/400ft) by having the frames close to each other. I'm thinking why wouldn't that be possible, 16 mm anamorphic withmore than 10 min per 400 ft mag ? (the small size of the 16mm film ? the small size of the mechanic that pull the movie down ? so 1 perf is all there is for super 16 ? does anyone have a movie in mind that was shot anamoprhic 16mm film ?) I know high frame rate cameras exists, with precise mechanics that allows to have that maybe ... i am looking for a professional regular model though ... Cheers, J
  4. For sale is a Lomo Foton Anamophic Squarefront Zoom focal length of 37-140mm in PL mount that was serviced a year and a half ago by Olex Camera and has seen little use since. Also included is a Lomo 0.8M diopter. Located in the US. Glass is clean and clear with only minor blemishes, nothing out of the ordinary or unusual for a lens of this age, overall it is in very good condition. Thanks. https://imgur.com/a/osr8xq1 $6000 OBO
  5. I'm having trouble de-squeezing my 2x anamorphic footage. I just got an ultra star isco 75mm and I use PP CS6 creative cloud version, there are anamorphic options but they don't seem to be making the footage wide enough. Would somebody point me in the right direction?
