  1. Post cards are an interesting area of collection when it comes to documenting history. You see a lot of things that you never knew existed and are not easy to find photos of otherwise. Especially if you get RPPC. Back in the day people would have short runs of RPPC's printed and send them off to their family and friends. I've been working on scanning a collection of cards from Southern California beach areas going back to 1900. Here are some from 1911, the Ship Cafe in Venice, CA. <><><><> Daniel D. 2. Hi! It's my first video that I made back in 2017. I've found it on my PC, lil bit polished it and decided to upload. When I was shoting the video I didn't have any idea for the video. I just wanted to shot cool shots that I would like, practice my skills and just have a good time! After a while, I got a library of shots. I chose those that would look good together) At that time, I don't know any montage rules and the whole process was intuitive experiment with shots. Also, if you found any meaning in this video, I would say there was no deep meaning in the video. It's more about feeling of a summer for me. I used Canon 70D with Canon 50mm f1.8 (such a starter pack!) My behance project for the video
  3. A short historic film on 1981 Venice , CA.
  4. Hello, I am the 1st AC on a short film that's coming up and I was wondering if anyone has some advice when it comes to shooting on beach locations? We are using a combination of film and digital. Cameras include Arri Alexa, Arricam LT, and Arriflex 235. I believe we are using just film while on the beach and it looks like it's going to be mostly handheld at this time. Thanks, Erik
