  1. Yo guys, could you tell me what you think? These were shot with no budget - The Hymnal - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APQFgRIX3yM Shot with Canon 60d, basic photo lights + diff & neg Only Child - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1IJka9piWk&feature=youtu.be Shot with CAnon60d, tungsten builders lights + small LED + diff + neg Obviously they're not perfect, but I shot them to get something made :) I was going for Eraserhead btw :)
  2. I'm a little confused on how to play with the gamma setting for the lower part of the curve. what's the difference between BLACK LEVEL and BLACK GAMMA and MASTER PED in camera settings? what the relationship with noise? if for instance I want to change the setting of my camera so as to see more into the shadows (without taking into account any color correction in post) I set (just as an example) black level at -2 master ped at +2 so as to lower the contrast black gamma (that alters the whole shape of the gamma curve in its toe) at +2 to brighten the image am I right? my question is: how does noise react to this new setting?
  3. Hi everyone, I am preparing a feature film and we want to shoot black and white. Do you know guy which stocks are available in B&W except the ones made by Kodak? I'm looking for a sharp and not very grainy stock. I asked Ilford what they could do and they can offer FP4 and Pan F in 30.5m only (about 90 feet). I'm not a great fan of B&W shot in color, I generally didn't like things I've seen and tested made that way and never found the texture of true black and white. I also have to ask to Rollei/Agfa what they can do. In photography I use the Rollei retro 80s a lot and it's pretty close to the look I want. I guess something close to T-Max or Ilford Delta 100 would be a good start for tests too. Do you guys have any idea where I could search (preferably in Europe)? Anyone has experience with Adox? Thanks a lot, Anthony
