  1. Hi! I recently acquired a Eclair Cameflex 35mm camera. It came with a motor but unfortunately it is a 3 phase motor. I've looked on eBay but no luck there. Anyone selling a motor that is capable of 24/25 fps or can direct me in the right direction? Kind regards.
  2. Selling some 200'and 100' Cameflex 35mm magazines for a friend. £50 plus postage for the 200's £75 plus postage for the 100's. We have 16 x 200's and 4 x 100's. They mostly look like this and are mechanically very good. So of them show exterior signs of age. They don't come with gash stock as pictured. PM me if you're interested. Cheers Marek
  3. Famously used by Orson Welles to shoot many shots from "Touch of Evil", dating from 1956. Over 60s years old, but in remarkably good condition. Some minor cleaning marks visible on front and rear optics. Minor dust. These do not effect the image. Casing shows signs of wear, paint loss, marks, minor scratches. None of these effect operation. Aperture works fine, but could do with a service. Focus is smooth and precise. Lens can be adapted to be used on mirrorless cameras, MFT, E-mount, L and X mount. It cannot be adapted to Canon EF or Arri PL. Lens is much in demand for rehousing to Arri PL by Zero Optik. I own three of these lenses and they are without doubt the best vintage wide angle I've ever used. Often used as a wide angle to compliment Bausch and Lomb Baltars. More photos available on request. Will post worldwide at cost. Price: £1450 ono
  4. Hi everyone, I am trying to find out what lenses were used in the shooting of Terrence Malick's Badlands, but there seems to be no info available on this topic. I just know that three cameras were used during the production: Mitchell Bncr, Cameflex, and Arriflex. Badlands was shot in 1972, does anyone know what lenses were common for any of this cameras around that time, specially for the Mitchell? Thanks!
  5. My first test with a 3 perf cameflex was perfect except for the gate flare present in the negative. Just want to confirm this is the case... however the triangle flare isn't vertically/horizontally flipped as the rest of the image. Looks like it's flaring/bleeding into the next frame. As far as solutions...paint the mask? Both sides? Which paint do you recommend? Attached below are the stills, and of the gate, with and without the shutter. Many thanks!
  6. Eclair Cameflex CM3 35mm 2-perf techniscope camera for sale. I'm asking 2400USD for it. This camera is one rare 2-perf techniscope modified CM3 with PL mount. For those not aware of 2-perf, it basically is a modification which allows you to shoot Cinemascope directly on the neg reducing the stock cost to about 50%. I bought the camera from Film-camera-kit UK in 2011, and have never used it. I bought it from them in good working condition and maintained. I have only unpacked the camera and since then it has been stored, since I did not have time for my original intention of shooting shorts with it. Now I figure it's better to sell this beauty to someone who will have more time for it. Included: Tobin crystal sync motor Tobin Time Lapse motor (Originally for Bolex, but works with CM3) 2 400ft mags 2 200ft mags 2 100ft mags 15mm rods Batteries not included. Can ship it anywhere for additional cost. Not sure about the shipping fee's. But will check it out for the buyer location if interested. Item located in Sweden Mail me at erik@luminante.com if interested. Best Regards, Erik
  7. Hello, you often can find old Kinoptik lenses, for example the Apochromat 25mm, in Cameflex, C-mount or other mounts for very, very high prices. What do you think about this lenses ? How is their quality and their 'look' compared to other lenses like Zeiss etc ? Why are this lenses so expensive ? Micha
