  1. Hi everyone, For an art installation, I would really like to use the Eumig r2000 instaprojector. My question is...is there any possible way to loop the film? Even for 10 seconds. The longer the better, but I could do also with very short time. Thanks a lot
  2. I'm ready to do some tests with my Eclair NPR camera and I have some questions after practicing loading the magazines... Obviously I'm missing something simple and I've spent some time searching yet haven't found the answers so please forgive the basic questions: 1) Can someone explain the importance of the "loop"? It's very specific about 12 images with 6 on each side. I don't think the manual I have explains why this is important and what will happen if the frame count of the loop is incorrect or if it's out of alignment. Will it effect the image? Will there be flickering? 2) Assuming the loop is important, why is it necessary to then press the film into the magazine? (thus reducing the loop, I count 8 frames after my loop is pressed in). The videos I've seen go to some length to detail exactly how the loop is formed... only to quickly say "and then when you're done you press it in and load it onto the camera..." Again please forgive my ignorance and thanks for your patience -B
  3. Hi people, I am currently managing an exhibition in London that will run the whole month of Feb, and we need a projector that supports super 8 film, and can play on loop... i have done a bit of research, and am starting to understand that this is no easy task, and only very few people have information, advice and knowledge that might help us out. The film itself is 3 minutes long, and was processed out of the country, does anyone out there have some advice for me, or perhaps a projector that I can borrow/ rent/ buy that might suit our needs? Any information and tidbits will help, I am such a novice! Looking forward to hearing back from some of you, fingers crossed! Cheers, Olivia
  4. Hey guys! Quick question (which i'm sure won't have any concrete answer).... I've edited together a short super-8 loop which i'll be projecting at an Art exhibition. The exhibition will be running from Wednesday till Saturday. So the projector will technically have to be running for at least, on average, 4 hours a day, non-stop. The projector itself is a Eumig Mark 502D. Does this sound possible? What sort of issues would one predict I might encounter? Bulb blowing? Film getting too hot and melting? I DIY telecined the loop - so I do have a digital back up which I could project if all fails. But it would be nice to have the real thing projecting. Thoughts?
