  1. Hello! I am trying to get 12V out of my Arri SR2 HS from 11 pin Fischer connector at the back for the accessory, but when I measured the voltage it appears to be only 2,5V :(. For the pinout I found a scan from Jon Fauer "Arriflex SR book" scanned and uploaded in the other topic on this forum. (Original topic with the scheme here:) What is even stranger, the voltage slightly changes, and can even go to zero when I turn the potentiometer knob on a "GLOW" that is on the side of my camera - also pictures attached: Do you have any ideas what could be causing the problem? When I unplug the two wires that power the GLOW, camera will not run. I will appreciate any ideas! Thank you! Adrian

  3. Hey everyone! I have the BP-7 15mm studio baseplate for my SR3 and am looking to trade it for the 19mm version - the BP-6. Anyone out there interested in that trade? I just accidentally bought 19mm accessories for my SR3 thinking that the baseplate takes 19mm rods and just realized that I made a big mistake ?
  4. I am selling this Sony SRW-1 / SRPC-1 HDCAM SR CineAlta Tape/Digital Recorder http://ebay.us/1fCCPj?cmpnId=5338273189
  5. Hi everyone. I was wondering if it could be optically possible to adapt an SR3 original eyepiece, designed to cover the super16 format, to an Arriflex SR1 (super16 converted) viewfinder. Do anyone know if it could be relatively easy to replace the sr3 eyepiece's mount and eventually recycling an old sr1 eyepiece's mount to let it compatible with that? What problems should I face and how could I do? Thanks
  6. Hi! I'm looking for the P+S Technik Rodenstock 25mm Super Wide Angle eyepiece or a 35 bl eyepiece for my Arriflex SR super16 converted. Does anyone have any to sell? Thanks

  8. Hello everyone, I was hoping to get some advice on how to remove the front of my SR2 and gain access to the lens shown in the photo here to hopefully remove it. I am trying to gain access to the screws that you can see here and I assume that I need to remove the front panel of the camera to do so. If anyone has any exploded views of the camera or any advice it would be a great help! Thanks so much for your time!
  9. Hi there, I am new here, hello! ?My first question is about an Arriflex SR2 mag I just bought. I have a SR2 that was moified for S16 long time ago. Now I would like to know what modification I would need to do to use a normal SR mag with my camera. Is it only the pressure plate or are there any other modifications that I need to go through? I read somewhere that the tunnels must be widened but I dont really see why because the material is the same, isn't it? ? Yours, D.C.
  10. Hi, Thank you for all the answers of my last topic. Now I have a question regarding the viewfinder of my SR2. There are some dirty spots in the frame when I look through it. The lens is clean so it must be the viewfinder. How can I clean it? Can I open / unscrew it from the body? Any recommendations? ? Thanks for reading, D.C.
  11. Hi there, I believe that this is probably something that has been discussed before. But I hope there are some new things that can be brought up with this question. I have an upcoming project in the fall, and the director and I have decided that we want to have the anamorphic look for a short we will be making. Now the flares are not the most important thing, but rather the vast image that we are going for. The problem is how to achieve it. First idea would be to use my own S16 Eclair ACL, with an PL adapter, and we were considering renting pure 1.33x anamorphics. But as far as I know, the only ones to rent at the Hawk's, and they would cost us pretty much the complete production budget to get a set. Second idea we had is to use a R16 Arriflex SR and put Kowa 2x on it. The real issue here would just be the wider shots, since we basically loose all the width in the image. Third idea is to invest in a Panasonic AG-LA7200 adapter, with a 0.25 diopter, and use B4 lenses on the ACL to get the image we are going for. I also have a person that can make a M4/3 adapter for the ACL, so any M4/3 solution would work as well, but honestly I am open to any ideas you might have. And yes, both me and director are 100% set on shooting on film stock. C
  12. Hello, I was hoping if there was anyone who's currently thinking of selling an Arri SR (not looking for a specific model though Super 16 compatibility would be a huge bonus) for a relatively cheap price by any chance? I'm not working off of a real specific budget, but I am hoping to see if there are any offers underneath $5,000. I've found some offers on other websites that fit my budget (albeit at still considerably scalpy prices from what I've seen), but I'd thought I'd at least check by here seeing how over the years there seems to be a number of Arriflex SR kits being sold at reasonable prices in comparison to most I've seen online. Anyways, please respond below and / or send me a PM if you've got an offer. Thank you all in advance!
  13. I'm a student making the transition from digital to film and my next project will be shot entirely on 16mm. I'm interested in purchasing a working ARRI SR I or II. My budget is around $1200. I reside in the U.S. You may email me at willjacobscinephile@gmail.com
  14. Hey all! Shooting a small music video on S16 soon, and wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the Aaton XTR vs. SR3 vs. 416. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each when compared against eachother? I'm seeing XTR packages are almost half the price of the SR3, and our budget is tiny so I'm trying to see what I'm giving up for the cheaper price.

    Pilotone

Heading into the field shortly to shoot some sync sound camera tests-- I'm interested in trying to use as much of my "new" camera as possible, including the Pilotone and the start mark system. Has anybody had success recording this Pilotone, especially going to a digital recorder? If it's possible, I'd love to be pointed in the right direction for cables, 5-pin DIN to 3-pin male XLR. Thanks!
