  1. Shooting on Cannon 7D, 24 fps, 50th shutter speed. The scene is the subject lit only by a pulsating strobe light. What is the easiest/ most affordable solution to sync the strobe with camera and avoid flicker, banding etc.? If possible, I'd like to have various speeds of the strobe for dramatic build. Any recommendation on brand/type of strobe? Will be using house power. Shoot is in Los Angeles. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys, I just installed DaVinci Resolve 12 (Lite Version) on my laptop, and I've noticed something when importing clips - on playback in the Edit and Color tabs, the clips have a flickering strobe of different colors. Is this something to do with my graphics? And if so, is there anything I can change to get rid of this issue? Here are my basic specs: HP Envy Laptop CPU: intel Core i5 Platform: Windows 10 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520 RAM: 12GB Thanks a lot!
  3. Hi, I have a music video shoot and we're currently deciding cameras. I prefer the look of the Alexa and want to push the Mini as we're mostly on steadicam. However we have a lot of strobe lighting during a performance sequence, making the Dragon with motion mount seem like the right way to go. Is the Studio the only option for choosing Alexa when dealing with strobes? We're shooting a range of speeds, ramping from 24 to 60fps. Thanks, Chris
  4. Hi Folks, I would like some advice on what strobe/flash fixtures I could use to replicate lightning and what would be the best way to power this when shooting externally. Also has anyone found issues whilst shooting on Alexa with strobe lighting i.e lack of global shutter and what other approaches you could take to this problem. Thanks in advance
  5. I'll be using a strobe (flash) on an HD shoot. I've seen this in the past but it never seems to work well (strobe duration and shutter angle/shutter speed issues). Any ideas, tips or thoughts you can share with me?
