  1. Hi Everyone, I love collecting behind the scenes photos where you can see lighting setups from great cinematographers. Does anyone have any they'd like to share? These ASC articles on Se7en and Carol both contain a lot of great bts photos of Darius Khonji's and Ed Lachman's work: https://ascmag.com/articles/flashback-seven-1995 https://theasc.com/ac_magazine/December2015/Carol/page3.html# All the best, Alex
  2. I really like the work of Todd Haynes especially "Far from Heaven" and "Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story" so I was drawn to watching this interview with Ed Lachman about his work with Todd Haynes (and also some other directors). It turned out to be really worth watching and I recommend that if you are interested in cinematography (Why else come here?**) then you should watch it too, as I think you will also find that you get something out of it, perhaps even something different to what I did?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3000&v=L17iLOQUL9s   **Okay some of you probably come here for the witty banter from other cinematographers and uplifting tales from Phil Rhodes about the hard life at the face of the coal seams of what remains of the British Film Industry but you may get something from this video too and if not it should be easy to follow it up with another YouTube Video featuring DJ kittens instead. So do try it out.   Freya
  3. Part two of a chat with one of my favourite DPs. The guy behind "Erin Brokovich", "The Limey", and more.
