  1. Hey everyone! I will be attending Emerson College's LA campus fall of 2017 and we are required to hold an internship for the semester. My focus is cinematography, and am particularly looking for internships that pertain to it. However, this has so far not been an easy search. Most internships I see are "entertainment" or administrative internships. I'm not worried whether it's paid or not, and certainly do not mind internships that require office duties and tedious workloads. My one desire is to find a place where I can at least learn something about the craft and industry. So far, interning for Shane Hurlbut or Panavision is about the best internships I could find. No doubt I could put in time at a rental house, but I've seen many say that time could be spent better elsewhere. Anyone have experiences or suggestions for finding said internships or any that are cinematography based in LA?
  2. Hey guys, I hope this is the right category to post this. Next year (june) I'm required to get an internship in order to graduate from film school. However, I'd like to get one in another country (US, Canada, UK mainly) because we don't have too much of an industry here. My dream internship would be to get into a major studio (Universal, WB, Pinewood...). I'll take any job, especially something that has to do with the camera department. I want to be on a film crew (no TV series, office jobs) preferably of a big, blockbuster film. I want my name to appear somewhere in the big screen. The only problem is I don't know where to start. I've checked their internships/opportunities but nothing seems clear enough. Also, some studios don't offer jobs as a crew member, as they say each film's producers hire their own crew. It would be highly appreciated if anyone could give me tips on how to get in a studio, or accept me into your next film's crew ;) haha
  3. Hello! I am a freshmen going to Colorado early colleges Fort Collins, I am required to take an internship in my field of choice. If any one knows of a good cinematography company in the loveland/fort collins area, I would very much appreciate some suggestions or help.
  4. Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and was hoping that someone on here would be able to assist me in my quest to apply for Panavision's College Internship Program. I have tried contacting Stephanie Lyons at their Hollywood location, however, my attempts have be fruitless. I am currently a Senior at the University of California Irvine and want to learn about their cameras, as well as 35mm film cameras as a whole, preferably from the grunt-work up. I would like to have an old fashioned mentorship-styled environment where a master of the craft can show me the ropes cleaning and lugging around different pieces of equipment, however, I'm not sure how realistic my hopes are. If you have any information about the program or know anyone who does, I will be eternally grateful.
  5. Hi, Im seeking a camera assistant position to learn more about working with 35mm or S16mm film cameras. The work would have to be in New York.
