  1. Hello! I am new to cinematography.com but very much enjoy getting to know the community! So I have a few lenses I would sell or trade - one is this - in my opinion really amazing S16 wide angle: I just don't use it often enough - so better off with someone who might need it regularly. Century Precision Optics 6mm T1.9 Series 2000 Super 16 Arri PL Mount Film Lens Super wide angle lens for Super 16 or cropped Sensors (like Red, F55, Blackmagic Pocket or S16 film etc). Very fast at T 1.9 with as little distortion as possible for a lens that wide. Has nearly 330 degrees focus throw and works like a charm. Arri PL mount, smooth focus and aperture gears. Glass is in excellent condition, no fungus, nothing visible inside the lens. Some sings of use on the mount and also on the outer body (as you see in the images). This is a professional and solid lens - excellent built quality and excellent visual performance. Should there be any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Asking for 1700$ Better quality pics: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1dlpmg2rid771m3/AABGsUyFTzvwto2QczEtRQtxa?dl=0 Located in Vienna, Austria - pickup or shipping worldwide
  2. Selling a super wide angle lens for super16 or micro 4;3 Originally in Arri Standard Mount, it has a PL mount adapter installed. The lens is in great condition, I hate to see it go! Looking at 950$ for it. Pictures : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1e4WUZfFNWzAnBGbXM_ZNR7tuMWDS1OCz Contact: albu.william@gmail.com
  3. Hi im doing a memoir for my last year in film school on the use of wide angle/ultra wide angle/fish eye lens and i would like to know when these kind of lens first came out 28mm and down... would like to have a history part of these type of lenses does anybody know? thanks a bunch
  4. Hello, are there any wide angle screw on accessory lenses that you can recommend other than the OEM Canon WA that was available in the 70's. This would be for a customer and for a 1014 Auto. I have explained the stop issue and lower quality outcome. I found the OEM Canon version on eBay but it's a bit costly Thank you for your assistance
  5. For sale is the very popular Duclos Lenses 11-16mm f2.8 wide angle zoom lens. It currently has a Nikon mount, but can be swapped to PL or EF by Duclos. I am also including a Fotodiox Pro Nikon F lens to Canon EF body adapter. This lens is in fantastic shape. There are no blemishes on the housing and the glass is perfect. Unfortunately I don’t use it enough to justify keeping. I am asking $2200, but will entertain reasonable offers. If you are in Los Angeles you’re welcome to inspect it in person. North American sales only please. Email me if interested. Thanks! PHOTOS
  6. I am visualising a concept for a short film, but I would like to have an underwater scene where I can actually see at least half the body of a person in the water, shooting from below. I have learnt that the fish tank methods are good enough for close ups. If I need half the body to be shot underwater, I will need a very huge tank to contain the actor. I am wondering if there could be more ways to do this provided that I could not really go underwater in the ocean or a pool. Thank you for incoming suggestions.
  7. Hello, I just tried out my new wide conversion lens, Canon C-8, on a movie camera. What I recognized is, that when I focussed properly before putting the conversion lens on, that afterwards everything was blurred out (at max wide you don't see it that much, so this just goes for max tele)... maybe I should tell, that the conversion lens has a differenct thread size than the original lens from the camera (which isn't interchangeable). I don't know if this matters. So what could be the reason for that? How do I have to focus with it? Have I done anything wrong? And another question: How can I find out the thread size of the zoom lens, which doesn't have a description (and no information on the internet)? Maybe I am too goofy to google, so I could tell you the designation of it: "Angénieux 9-36 mm f/1.8" I measured it, but I am not sure if it's 37 or 38 mm .... I would be glad if I received an answer. :) Yours sincerely, Jan
