hennbot
I have a client who wants to shoot some boxing scenes that look like, what else, "Raging Bull". My feeling is that 60fps is not really fast enough to get this look, though some additional manipulation in post might get you in the ballpark. Does anyone have an opinion or experience that may relate? If so any shutter speed suggestions? This is for a local spot, not a feature. We just need the feel. Thanks! What part(s) of Raging Bull did they cite? There are parts of fights that are normal framerate, overcranked, and undercranked, sometimes in the same fight. Bob Hayes
Panasonic has a great DVD instructional that shows you what 6o fps looks like and what it looks like at different shutter speeds. Varicam will convert 60 fps to 120 with special software.
