Golden Reflectors

Recommended Posts

I read an article on AC magazine , behind the scenes of Kaminski work.

He used golden reflectors in Day for Night shots.

Some DOPs use for changing color temperatures , many use in interior lighting.

Can post your experiences ?..

Thanks

I used a large (4x8) collapsible reflector to simulate fire. I added orange red and yellow gells, letting the bounce make them even warmer. then I had a grip tap the board. The large size was enough to send ripples through the fabric, creating moving pools of light. Because of the large size, the shadows would flicker up and down like real fire does.

I have a really nice gold reflector that's very flexible & portable - it's one of those things you use inside the windshield to keep a car interior cool when parked in sunlight.

Bought it in a Dollar store. Cost -- a dollar

(be careful, some dollar stores are 'dollar and up' and you'd be paying $ 1.29 or even $ 2.29 - don't get ripped off on grip gear :D

HUAHUAHAUHAUHAAUH!!!

I've been using a piece of shiney gold wrapping paper taped to a reflector to bounce 2k's etc. through windows for nice ambient sunlight effect.
