igus mikler
Hey! have a question regarding track choice. I am shooting on a pebbled road and also in grass, and will have the fisher dolly model 10, is there a difference in smoothness going with the square tracks? I am planning to have a gentle curve track aswell. they couldnt really help me out at the rental place over the phone. so am relying on your experiences. also wondering if the sachtler video 20 tripod head will fit onto the dolly (another thing the rental place was unsure of) thanks! Tshaka
Fisher Track ("square track") works well with Fisher Dollies. Smoothness of a Dolly move is effected by other factors. What do you mean by a gentle curve? Fisher 10 comes standard with a Mitchell Mount. There are Mitchell Mount to Bowl mount adapters for the use of Bowl Base Fluid Heads on the Fisher 10. Why not use a Mitchell Base Fluid Head with the corresponding Camera Support? Who are you? Where are you working? Have you asked your Dolly Grip any of these questions? You don't have to do it alone. Give your crew the opportunity to do the job they know how to do best. Share the work load. There's no shame in it. It's better that way. Don't take my word for it. Try it out yourself.
