Eugene Hughes
I got my hands on a Canon 512XL, too bad it does not do manual exposure. i do not want to mess with locking the EE thing to correct. What film speeds will this camera correctly expose ? Anyone have any luck with this camera nowdays ? Best, Eugene

A.Oliver
Hi, canon 514xls can only read 40 and 160 asa film speeds, canon did make a 512 electronic prior to the 514xls. My first serious camera was a 514xls, good lens, very reliable, let down by no manual exposure. EE lever is difficult to operate, especially if you are zooming of pulling focus, need 3 hands!!!!!! Best option is fuji 50 film ( velvia ), camera should expose this stock ok.
