Premium Member Hal Smith Posted September 7, 2006 Premium Member Share Posted September 7, 2006 If anyone can recommend a decent spot meter, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Heather Collins I was able to score a Spectra Combi-II for $35 and a matching Spectra Photospot II for $75 off eBay. That gives me the functional equivalent of a Spectra IV-a and new Photospot combination which cost around $1100 new from BH Photovideo. I paid an additional $50 for calibration at Spectra to make certain everything worked well. I use a Spectra IV-a for reflected, incident, etc. The Photospot II actually does work on the IV-a, it reads exactly one stop low - light at f8 reads f5.6, etc. Happy hunting! Dan Horstman
I have the Sekonic L-508 Cine and I love it. It is both spot and incident. I just wish it could read color temp.
