It gives great, professional control (iris, shutter speed, manual and motor zoom, auto and manual focus etc). It also allows for 24, 30, and 60 fps recording, though I haven't really tried the 60 and was having some trouble finding how to shift over to it. It allows 4x3 and 16x9 recording, and its overall, just a great camera. .... And I just realized I'm 6 years late on this reply.
