Robust enough?

I've got a studio shoot that could turn into an on going thing and the client wants to shoot on HDV.

I have been thinking about the Cannons as everything I have read says these would be good for studio set ups. But, every hire company I've approached says the cameras are not robust enough to take the daily rigours of constant filming.

Are there durability problems with the H1?

As it seems to be the answer to a lot of my problems, as long as they work.

I put my XH A1 through some pretty rough stuff. I film exclusively in the field, much of it behind steam locomotives belching coal cinders all over me and the camera. I film in the rain, backpack the camera in to a remote location, all without any problem so far. Not sure how it'll do long term, however.
