geoffrey haas Posted July 15, 2007 Share Posted July 15, 2007 I am working on a shoot with the HDX900 for the first time this week. We will be recording to tape and a Firestore at the same time. I need to be set up in camera for 720p/30p and the Firestore to 720p/30PN. As I understand it, the camera does not record PN so the Firstore creates PN by dropping the extra frames. How do you set up the camera to trigger the Firestore to record? How can the Firestore be slaved to the camera for time code? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As firestores are sometimes quirky, you might need to select syncro slave in the menu, but normally, you just plug in the firewire, turn it on, and press record. As far as timecode goes, I haven't had to do that. I know it doesn't take timecode normally. I'm pretty sure that it will sync up somehow, but I haven't done it.
