Cris Moris
Hello all, This may seem weird, but does anyone know where I can download manuals or informaton for the following cameras:? ARRIFLEX: 16BL S 2C BL 3, 4, 5 -PL Mounts MITCHELL: 35mm MKII (hard front) and BNCR mount 35mm Standard NC BOLEX H16 anyhow if anyone has any information it would be helpful. Also can some explain to me what a BNCR mount is? What is the difference between PL Mount and Arri Standard Mount? Bayonet? Thanks
Mister X
Bolex cameras and equipment have loads of manuals, but few are available on-line. For simple instructions about the H16 cameras, try Joel Schlemowitz's "The Bolex." Two good sources for many of the Bolex manuals are Mike & Carol Hirsch at Mugjoint.com and Craigscamera.com. Premium Member Laurent Andrieux Posted September 22, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 22, 2004 there is good stuff here, in the "mauals and docs" section. You can also make a reseach with google, I found some stuff like this as well. Some people sell manuals on e bay (for old material like 16 S or BL) for instance, some manufacturers have ressource online as well.
Premium Member Michael Nash Posted September 23, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted September 23, 2004 It must be the industry's best kept secret, because I seem to post this about once year -- "The Professional Cameraman's Handbook" by Verne and Sylvia Carlson, Focal Press, has manuals for almost EVERY motion picture camera. It's on file at the AFI library.
