blowing up minidvhd to 35 mm

hi, im shooting a short film with the sony z1 , in hd format... we are planing to use the effect called cine frame 25 . So as to obtain a more filmic (not video, due to the camera movements and all that ) image ... Do you know if when blowing u the material to 35mm, I wil have any problem ?

And, If shoot with gain, 3 db o 6db, not more, do I obtain a pretty image ( when blow up tl 35mm)

and with the shutter ? more than 1/50 ???

( and don´t tell me to test, cause I can´t )

DO NOT use cineframe 25 you will ruin your blow to 35 mm

 

Use the Z1 with 1080i at 1/50 and convert your footage with

DVFILM Maker

jose, i think you're wrong. cineframe25 works quite well and unlike cineframe24/30 doesn't ruin anything whatsoever. you will only get a very slight increase in sharpness by doing it in post, and in my tests i noticed that the lower amount of data actually helped the compression causing fewer artifacts. this said i've also shot interlaced for all the projects meant for 35mm, but i'd test it first, and i've used cf25 for hd projection and it looks gorgeous. you can get test blowups in slide frames from many labs that you can project and compare.
