City / Regional Sub Forums?

I think spreading some of my hometown pride is reason enough for my first post, so...

Another nomination for Philadelphia. Evidence of Philadelphia's rising in the film world:

Two movie studios, hundreds of jobs, planned for Philly

I'm a student cinematographer in Boston right now, but looking to move back home eventually and, after lurking on this forum for way too long, I see how useful the networking could be!

I'm going to hold off on Philidelphia for now.

If your city's not represented here yet, post a "City Name" (i.e. Philidelphia) thread in this forum, and if there's any interest, we'll create an official sub forum for it.

FYI - Here are the stats from Alexa.com for cinematography.com users:

United States 34.8%

Switzerland 9.1%

India 7.6%

Taiwan 6.1%

United Kingdom 6.1%

Uruguay 4.5%

Italy 3.0%

Philippines 3.0%

Puerto Rico 3.0%

Hi Tim,

I don't believe the figures from Switzerland, I guess my logging in from many ip addresses whilst using wifi is probably responsible.

The 1 to 1.5 million filmmakers in oklahoma probably need a subforum to themselves, maybe even a cinematography.com/oklahoma/index.php forum.

But seriously, a good Oklahoma/Texas subforum would be nice.

But seriously tim, i wouldn't mind oklahomacinematography.com.

But seriously.

Sounds great. Ottawa's film community is small but avid, as is the case with many cities, I'm sure.

Yup, I'm here too! ;)

But as I'm originally from Montreal, I think we're missing a big bet by ignoring Montreal, which has a huge film community, and a few film schools as well.
